Negative. If you wanna factory reset, I recommend doing it after applying the update in recovery before rebooting the phone. Just replace wipe the cache with factory reset.

That would be more efficient, but is there a technical reason why I shouldn't factory reset after .246 gets up and running?
 
lol I'm not doubting him at all, and I'll do it that way, I just like to know the in's and out's of things.

Understood. What I mean by not wasting time is simply that if you're going to factory reset anyway, that's the perfect place to do it. It's JUST like doing a full FXZ in that case except wiping the sdcard. You can do it later, but....why?
 
Lol i'm right there with you. I just wanted to make sure if at some point in the future I needed to factory reset, I didn't have to do it via stock recovery :)

I don't know if you can do it from the phone in settings. But I always do it in recovery anyway. It's not hard to boot into recovery and do it. You don't have to install anything...just boot into recovery, select factory reset, bada boom.
