Q: RSD can't see my phone. Help?
A: Make sure you're using RSD Lite 5.7 (included in the HoB) and try this:

o) Uninstall the existing driver
o) Reboot the PC
o) Install the new driver
o) Reboot the PC
o) Connect the phone as charge only or MTP mode and allow windows to find the driver
o) Reboot the phone into AP Fastboot mode and allow windows to find the driver
o) Reboot both the PC and the phone

also seems to help if you always connect phone to cable and then plug it in to the PC, I get quicker find that way

Um... thanks. Turns out I was just being impatient. It said if it hangs that it can't find my phone - it was hanging, so.... yeah. Turns out it was just transferring. :icon_eek:

sam, need to rewrite that first step to include "take a xanax, wait for it to work and then........."

Negative. Installing an update will not wipe anything. FXZ'ing could. And nothing should touch sdcard-ext....not even an FXZ.

And if you're FXZing, the file is on your PC and not your phone, so the nice thing is that if you are paranoid, you can pull the sdcard while FXZing.

Not when u got 8 gigs of ram an an intel extreme quad core 12mb L2 cache an oced to 4.0 ghz liquid cooling an fsb of 1600 mhz running windows 8 pro

I'd be more worried about having all of that activity on my USB controller, but that's just me. I suppose as long as each phone is plugged into a different USB root hub you'd be fine.

Well it DID, but then another message came up saying it was looking for my phone and if it hangs up... yadda yadda. AFTER the "it may take awhile."
Oh well - my hair may be red but I'm feeling quite blonde (with a red face).
