Well, I haven't had. 246 on here but for roughly 2 power cycles, and I have a standard battery, but I'm not getting the phenomenal battery life that some were..
But I do use it on and off all day. Not really sure if it is just my settings or what.
sarge, you should know that the max safe overclock attempt on anything is 1.75 X mfgs clockspeed, and even that is way past the point of diminishing returns for the bionic (and probably the razr, though they're supposed to be "premium" chips), like them old P2s dave and I were talking about, I'd even bet the imprint is diff from bionic to razr, some value, like 1.2X or turbo, (or omapDX2-66 LOL) somewhere in that imprint
I think my humble Core 2 Duo e6300 was the BEST overclocking chip I've ever owned, though. Bar none. Stock speed 1.86GHz - overclocked to 3.8GHz with a tiny voltage bump on stock Intel cooler. Without getting particularly warm. Would have needed to buy better RAM to go any higher, though. Damn I miss that ASUS P5B motherboard.
I try to remain as humble as I can when it comes to the HoB. However, I want to point out something to people. Sarge bricked his phone on 246 which is security locked to not allow for downgrades. That means no FXZ. The HoB was able to unbrick that using my mini-fxz option (the REINSTALL option). I point this out because the HoB has really been battle tested to death at this point. I still don't recommend everyone jump to 246, but, for those that do take the risk and jump, know that I've done everything I can possibly do to make it a safer, more enjoyable experience for you.
Next best thing to a real .246 FXZ, in my opinion. And HoB will continue to remain useful in the future. Impressive work, but I've said that a thousand times.
When you say recalibrate, I'm assuming you mean clearing the battery cache? Even though I've heard it's a myth, I'm using battery calibration off of play..for rooted phones. I also have smart actions set up to kill data/wifi/sync when screen is off...but the funny thing is, when I look at the battery read out, wifi is showing that it was on when I know I turned it off ( it's on now because I turned it on.)
