I just found a NASTY bug so this is a word to the wise. I just tried deleting a large folder off my sd-ext, and it wipe the entire thing.

That's not a bug...it's an unexpected feature

I've had something similar happen,don't know why it happened except I was moving files from my card to a laptop. Wasn't a total loss because I also had a back-up on 2 computers

It's possible it was a one time occurance, but yeah. I deleted my music folder because i'm going back to google music (the folder was about 10 GB)...it said for awhile, then said an error occurred, and everything was gone.

I'd chalk it up to a fluke, not a bug. SD cards can be finicky at times. If it were a bug, you wouldn't be the only person it's ever happened to.

Let's just put it this way. I wouldn't trust flash memory too much for long term storage, especially the cheap stuff they use in low cost sdcards and flash drives. Might be a little more reliable In the longterm than a floppy disk, but not much.
