Add me to the list of people that have taken the plunge. I have just upgraded from .232 to .246 using HoB.
Of course, no problems.
Total time 45 minutes including root. This does not count the download of HoB and its components.
No loss of data. Root seems to be working.
Thanks to Sam and all the others that made HoB possible. Thanks for the work you may do in the future, including what it might take to get us back on the upgrade path.
I just did 246 last night and my battery life improved dramatically already. Normally, my battery is down to 50% or so after 4 hours of heavy use, but this morning only down to 70%. Quite a bit better. I assume I will be able to improve that a little bit with better smart actions and such.
Right now unfortunately nobody knows anything about the specifics of going to JellyBean. It is my sincerest hope that we're not made to endure another torturous wait like we did for ICS.
Wonder how soon we'll start hearing about the schedule for JB?

Not until all the ICS upgrades are complete. Then you know the new kids on the block will get the first round of JB updates. Then I assume we'll see a similar schedule to what we saw with ICS in terms of order of updates. So, I expect we'll be pushing up against our 18 month deadline for support. I wouldn't expect to see even leaks before January.

The fact Moto came out yesterday and said they are not doing the Electrify, Photon, and Atrix 1 simplifies this. In short it seems that the Bionic is the last of them. Dead last... oh well. Better late than never.
