I dont know about you guys, but I am like really excited about the Bionic this week. I really think Motorola is going to crunch opponents and live like a windrammer as they **** Verizon. :D

In addition to the excitement over ICS, Ive also got new parts for it coming in the mail. Ill have a brand new phone without buying a new phone! 8DDDD

I am actually quite excited myself. Most likely, ICS for the masses - and more news about the continuing saga of MotoGoogle vs. BIG RED. The really impressive thing about the Bionic is that all things considered, it's a year old phone that can still keep up with all but the fastest phones out there. And even then, the difference isn't all that noticeable. When you have to run a benchmark to see if a newer device is faster or not, that probably means your current device isn't even fully realizing its potential. As I am hesitant to move off of Verizon simply due to real-life coverage, i'm getting more and more tempted to hang in there with my Bionic and see if I can get a full 2 years out of it. I am just dying to see how support is for the next several months, not just on the current devices but on the new ones as well. If I like what I see, at that point i'll consider another Moto/Verizon device at full retail. But they better not pull that surcharge crap for running an unlocked device, if I am paying full retail, I am buying a developer edition phone.

Actually I always thought of the Razr M as being what the Bionic 2 might have turned out like. All it would need is the removable battery and HDMI out (which I'm a bit shocked it doesnt have)

I think VZW is thinking they're still dealing with old Moto here and that theyll just roll over with the slightest push back.

What makes you say that? The old Moto has never been pushy with them, the new Moto certainly seems to be. Don't forget, the "new Moto" hasn't been in place very long. A company doesn't change overnight the minute they are acquired. To quote Mr. Soni, "it takes time to turn a big ship around". The very fact that the new Moto has a top level executive openly discussing updates on his Google+ page is a good sign, as far as I am concerned. The old Moto had their puppet boy, Matt, to discuss things in the forum. His main job was to delete posts with the word "root", "ROM", "leak", or "bootloader". Mr. Soni doesn't mind discussing these things at all. And not once has he jumped in and said "don't install leaks, leaks are bad, you are stealing from Moto OMG!!!!!!!" - if anything, he seems anxious to make us happy but hesitant to make any promises he can't personally stand behind. And he has stated that he is personally committed to getting ICS out to us, and will accept responsibility if deadlines are not met. When someone mentioned that Q4 could mean Dec. 31, he stated that Dec. 31 was NOT acceptable, and we'd have it way earlier than that. I honestly think he wants it BY Q4, but just is being realistic and allowing some leeway. He said one of his goals is REALISTIC release windows as opposed to empty promises.

Yes the bionic reborn an all bionic owners get one for free as a swap out xD
Of course, the "Bionic Phoenix" would be exactly the same as a regular Bionic - except it would come with JB preinstalled, and the boot animation would be a Phoenix rising from a pile of ashes!

Actually, ICS is so much different that GB that they could probably rerelease the Bionic with ICS preinstalled and people would think it was an entirely different device *LMAO*
