Okay I have my serial number now how do I find out the OMAP Chipset of my Bionic?

U have to run the serial through motos device ID software meaning u have to call moto (their tier to tech) an ask them to run it an to tell u what chipset its running

Ok, I'm very intrigued about this whole chipset thing. Why can't we start a thread about that topic instead of the "all things about everything" thread? That topic sounds like it needs to be its own.

So I am one of the dozens of webtop users (only after buying a fire sale lapdock), and was wondering if it's being killed off because Moto might be going with Ubuntu instead? I have found webtop to be somewhat useful in a NetBook sort of way, but would LOVE the Ubuntu option. Maybe with a possible JB update?

Around post 5k we discuss the differences in the webtop, the old version was a modified Linux, very limited ability partly to lack of swap space. The new is only a tablet style interface to our phones giving us a much higher resolution of our apps, for the people using the HD dock that was an amazing upgrade. (think of HD apps on a "40 HD TV) over all the change allowed for a much much nicer mirror mode of our phones.

If your want more details just pm me. I was one of the few that got to fun full bionic powered unbutu before the change

Ok I don't know if this is happening to anyone else, but I am running 246 and when I go into settings and disable apps I have 2 that keep coming back after I reboot. Google play books and play movies. The other apps I have disabled do not come back, just these two and it's driving me nuts. Anyone have any advice besides removing them with TB?

What do you mean disabling? How are you going about this, eg. What app are you using, what are its various settings?

no app, it's the built in functionality in ICS that lets you disable apps.

Settings > applications > manage applications (i think). Then select an app you want. When it opens click "disable".

Agreed - may as well give the guy a chance. What concerns me is all of the comments he made one day, and now he's been mostly quiet. Yet somehow, I do get the impression that he is a man who will stand behind what he says. I just really want to know what his "special" plan for the Bionic is - as he never did tell us.

I like the fact he went quiet. Means, he's working hard on making it right.

I'm thinking (hoping?) that there might be a PR blitz from Punit/Moto at the time they officially push the .247 OTA...especially if they do so sans Soak!

I hope you still don't believe in Santa Claus too. Once we see something positive (i.e. a release of ICS), then we can make those statements. Until then, he is just another talking head exec.
