Im so sick of this atrix 2 talk, ****kkkkk that phone, let us use the server first!!!!!

On the other hand, what if the situation were reversed? We'd probably be pissed if Atrix 2 owners were all like "F the Bionic, let US use the server first". At this point, i'm simply thinking that they might want to consider upgrading their infrastructure to something capable of pushing out more than 10,000 updates to a single device at a time. How does Microsoft manage to run update servers that can simultaneously push an update to millions of PCs, all at the same time?

Well I guess that's about it for the moot today. Personally I think the world would be a better place if the Atrix 2 didn't exist. A better place for Bionic owners, anyways. HOW that ****ing thing ended up ahead of us is STILL beyond me. There HAS to be more people out there who own Bionics than Atrix 2s.

Newer devices get the ota first thats how it works or did the atrix come out before the bionic?

I'm not sure if you are able to get this info from your source(s), but is there any way that you can get us a SOLID answer as to whether or not the Bionic is next in line for ICS? Or do we have another dozen Moto devices that managed to jump ahead of us?

Very slightly later, it came out on Oct. 11, 2011 according to the Wikipedia article. But even with that slight one month difference, compared to the Atrix 2 we have ALWAYS been significantly behind. Damn thing had 2.3.6 while we were stuck on 2.3.4 - for almost identical hardware, Moto seems to play favorites with other carriers.

Well, be honest here, how many people do YOU know with an Atrix 2? I would think that Moto themselves would know better than any of us just how long it's going to take, though. I'm sure their estimates are based on how many get pushed per day vs. entire userbase. But with this it sounds like you're thinking it's going to be a MINIMUM of 3 more weeks before we see an OTA? That will be putting us into November. I'm just not sure how so many of us are SURE that we know EXACTLY how Motorola does their updates? I trust y'all, but I want to hear it from Punit Soni himself.

Per many posts on Moto Atrix 2 forum, their update is available for PULL via Check for Updates.

Thinking about it, the D4 is newer than the RAZR- so why did the beloved RAZR (which I can't STAND) get ICS before the D4? It SHOULD have gone D4->RAZR->BIONIC - see what I mean? There is absolutely NO rhyme or reason as to the order of the OTAs. It's like they pick a "favorite device of the month" and F everybody else.

The bionic is next but with the rumored 6.8.648 being built I wouldnt be surprised if they skip ICS entirely an go to JB which would ideal but I doubt it would happen

I think that sales numbers probably play a role as well.

Razrs and D4 are consider all one device called the razr family I doesnt matter which got the update its all the same device

That WOULD be pretty cool, but we want to be careful to give them time to get it ready. Or we could end up in the situation that the RAZR is in with their ICS build. One thing that encourages me greatly is apparently, 247 really IS the final ICS build if they are building JB off of it. Was afraid they wait until AFTER the OTA was complete. My guess is that if the JB build installs over 247, they are probably going to push that first though. Maybe we'll get JB first though, perhaps they will OTA ICS to us, patch the D4 and RAZR builds, use us as the JB guinea pigs this time.
