This thread is going to go down in DF history. We've got to ensure that it never dies! Even when the Bionic is no longer a relevant device, I propose that the thread live on! Viva La Bionic! dancedroiddancedroiddancedroid:icon_ banana::icon_ banana::icon_ banana:dancedroiddancedroiddancedroid

I'm doing my part to keep pounding out letters and forming words that are put together into sentences to convey a thought.
Of course, most of my thoughts probably should not have been making there way into this thread but...I guess it's a little late now.

Ah, okay then. ^^
Anyway, 247 is now installing, and it's going along very smoothly so far.

Well done. I wish my script had been ready for you but I haven't had the latest script vetted yet. Eventually it'll become as powerful as the Windows HoB but it'll take one function at a time. It'll take a while to build it up. It'll get there, though.

Alright, awesome. ^^
Hey if you need anyone to test it for you, I'm more than happy to :3
The process is actually very easy. It's just a matter of having all the files you need in the right places, and specifying their
locations correctly when doing the commands. Now I can see why you get so frustrated with some people. xD

I think this is AWESOME! There should be a tag line or something about how you are running these, seeing as you were on the fence so long about doing it!
I mean considering this was done in Ubuntu!

Yeah. xDD
From what I understand, I basically did the equivalent of what HoB does in Windows, but I had to lay out all the files/folders and type all the commands manually. I'm not sure how automatic HoB actually is though, as I've never used it before.. I still needed to grab the system files from the HoB though, so I did need it regardless.

As a recovering noob who has learned so much since hanging out here, I thank you all. And an extra thanks for the moot and the spam recipes.

Freak YEAH, superfreaker!!!!!!!!
(Trying to refrain from cursing xD)

So you're on .247 now? Guess you'll need to adjust your sig. Our reluctant holdout has become our resident Linux tester!

The HoB installers PUT all the files necessary in the right place and checks for them. It's so painfully simple yet......... :D

I'm going to try to make linux friendly zips for any new updates. Drop them into the LinuxMac_HouseOfBionic and it'll work. Eventually. There's a *TON* of work to do. The windows HoB builds boot img's, extracts recovery, has reinstall options, automagically finds FXZ and update dirs, etc, etc. It will take weeks to get it there for Linux/Mac but we'll build it function by function.
