Lol, btw, the screenshot thread has over 2 million views. I wonder if we can beat that.

I'm going to try to make linux friendly zips for any new updates. Drop them into the LinuxMac_HouseOfBionic and it'll work. Eventually. There's a *TON* of work to do. The windows HoB builds boot img's, extracts recovery, has reinstall options, automagically finds FXZ and update dirs, etc, etc. It will take weeks to get it there for Linux/Mac but we'll build it function by function.
The way I pretty much did it was I looked at what you said I needed (moto-fastboot and adb), googled and downloaded them separately, unzipped those tools in one folder, installed the 247 HoB and copied it into the same folder, did the same for the 905 stuff, and then did each command one at a time. It was pretty painless. ^^ I don't recommend it for the faint of heart though... But then again are many faint-hearted people running on Linux?

(Wait a minute... yes they are....... on their Android phones..... :P)

I think this thread needs more bacon, velociraptors, cheese and zombie ninja midgets.

I have 34,995 pounds of bacon in my trailer :D

So you're on .247 now? Guess you'll need to adjust your sig. Our reluctant holdout has become our resident Linux tester!
xDDD Yeah. It was pretty fun actually. ^^
It's funny... I used to be an avid Windows user, but now I feel more at home on Linux than I do on Windows now.

The script I wrote was stolen from the Linux/Mac RAZR util. They gave me permission and help to use their code. It picks the right fastboot and adb binaries depending on your system environment. All self included. It has the system and preinstall images for 905 included and it has the 247 update and boot img. So check it out and see if it works.

I put a bunch of stuff in there on my own. I can't test it as I don't have linux set up. It could completely blow up for all I know right now. I've never done functions in linux before like that. The ask_root and root functions are my big concern.

Has anyone on .247 tried making a nandroid backup via Bionic Bootstrap for ICS? Mine keeps failing with "Error while making a backup image of /system." I've tried both internal and external SD cards and get the same error. I have plenty of free space on both (6.8gb free internal, 14.4gb free external). The Bootstrap app installs CWM-based Recovery v6.0.1.0. Very strange.

That recovery is broken, i ran into that issue on .244 you need the other recovery
