I just changed from the kernel Gummyjar came with, kind of experimenting right now.

You're also forgetting that the Skyrocket(SGSII) screen resolution is a lot lower than the Nexus, therefore in a benchmark the Nexus will always lose because it's pushing a higher resolution, which lowers scores dramatically. Until all phones use the same resolution, benchmarks like quadrant are fairly useless. That's why in the computer world we all use the standard 1280x1024 resolution during benchmarks like 3D Mark Vantage. If we didn't, our results would be pointless and unhelpful to those looking for comparisons. Also the Nexus' CPU is better than both the Rezound and SGSII, the GPU is where it's lacking.

Sorry that I overlooked an at&t phone. Buying a phone, I'd like one that I can actually talk on without worrying about dropped calls or no service. I'll take a Nokia 5160 on Verizon over an r2d2 or whatever that thing is on at&t.

The 4460 uses ARM Cortex-A9 architecture, just like the Exynos. As I said, the GPU is where the Nexus is lacking, you're incorrect about the CPU. The Exynos is also overclocked on the Skyrocket, therefore reducing battery life and increasing heat production while not increasing real world performance. The Sprint SGS2 cpu (Exynos) is far better than the GNex cpu (OMAP). Pretty much everyone agrees on that fact. Why in the world would you say otherwise? Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
Why are well-respected phone information sources like wirefly and phonedog highlighting the Nexus as the best phone on the market when there are numerous issues with it? The Rezound has better specs all the way around, yet the Nexus is better?? I don't get it. Does the fact that it has factory ICS completely make up for the issues of the phone? Seriously... a phone with reception and signal issues is the best??
How long you been around Android phones?
Just about every phone has "All these problems" .. Ive had the Droid X, Thunderbolt, Bionic, and Nexus. Every single one of them was deemed a failure when they came out because of "OMG ALL TEH ISUESS!@*#!" .. Honestly, the GNex has been the most solid out of all of them for me. In fact, I have had zero issues with the GNex lol. Dare I say, it's almost iphone like in it's smoothness and reliablity.
I understand my experience has nothing to do with other people.. just saying.. Ive had a number of these "high end" Android devices and this one is EASILY the best.. EASILY.
Funny i dont see verizon/google running around like crazy trying to fix reception issues on other high end phones
the top 3 phones are so close that there really isnt one that beats the others...razr= fast, slim form factor, decent battery life, but locked bootloader; rezound= not quite as fast as razr (both stock), incredible camera, awesome display (some say slightly better than gnex), beats audio; gnex= unlocked bootloader with lots of dev support, ics, nfc, but with signal issues
I'm an absolute nut about this stuff.. This is by far the best phone I've met/used. My previous favorite was the Bionic and this thing makes the Bionic look pretty dated. I have no issues at all. Great battery life, signal etc.
NFC, little bigger battery and ICS basically, the rezound has slightly faster cpu, better camera and beats audio...i'd say the specs even out
I was having signal issues on my GNex. It would drop lte then take 30-40 sec to get on CDMA then drop cmda for 30-40sec to connect to lte. I went to local verizon and after spending a hour and half there while the rep was talkin to tech support about the problem they finally gave me another brand new one and I haven't had any problems with it. Battery life sux but what would u expect from a 4.6" 720p screen with a LTE antenna?
