Well in all fairness, I'm sure companies are paying CNET to run their ads there. It's not like CNET is running Adsense ads where all income is dependent on clicks haha.
As for the review, i think it was fair and objective. People are just getting upset because they didn't worship the device and label it God's gift to smartphones, but come on they gave it 4/5 stars and an "excellent" rating. Sounds like no one would have a problem with CNET if they had given it a 5/5...
I can't get over the huge errors they made though, saying Samsung is the new Nokia for not changing phone designs? Where's the huge slam that the 4S being identical to the Iphone 4? They choose which companies to slam because they know who's paying them, that is bias.
The video didn't help either, you can tell the guy has a problem with android by the comments he makes. Then he suggests while attempting to bend the Nexus that he thinks it could break in half? Any phone will break in half if you try to, it's like they took a guy off the street and had him do a review.
I admit that upon reading it I could noticed that the reviewer wasn't particularly a fan of android/bias but I didn't think it was a horrible review. Like someone stated earlier it isn't so terrible to have one harsh review out of 10 amazing ones. I personally don't really read a lot of CNET's reviews because I sometimes feel that they are a bit biased towards other companies.
