z4Root - One Step Rooting for Many Android Devices!!

I would look in the hacks section of the forum. There are a lot of good, thorough thread about these things. but as far as apps go. These is actually one called "rooted..now what?" or something very similar, lol. I think its a sticky in the hacks section. check it out.

Rooted...now what? How would I go about installing ROMs, themes, removing bloatware properly?

Droid X is incompatible with the temp root option from every thread I've seen where someone tried it.

hi all, i'm a complete noob to rooting and stuff so bear with me!

i got here after seeing this ([video=youtube;gvB4YSIC2Vw]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvB4YSIC2Vw"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvB4YSIC2Vw[/video]) video on youtube. I then downloaded the z4root from the site he recommends under the video. i downloaded it, but when i tried to install it it says "z4root could not be installed on this phone". I have no idea why, as the phone i'm using is one of the ones listed as being compatible!

any help would be very much appreciated, as i would really like to get my phone updated asap!

I haven't been able to use wireless tether in months. Wonder if Z4Root still works on Droid 1? I still have superuser permission, but no luck with wireless tether.

Any help appreciated.

depends on what OS you have. it will work on 2.1 but not 2.2 or 2.2.1
