z4Root - One Step Rooting for Many Android Devices!!

Argh. I was just going to root my Gf's Droid 1 with z4root. I have a droid 2 so I used a the terminal method from another thread. I guess thats the nature of androud updates!

Good news. Installing the master FRG22D OTA file will put you back to 22D, thereby allowing you to use z4root again.

Was that the origninal update from a while ago that was unofficialy out around the same time as FRG??B?

Or is it the "clean" version of the current one?

is z4root not in the market anymore?? searched for it on my DroidX with no luck, also tried from a co-workers sam. transform, same results. Will z4root work on a Transform?? Where can I find it??

Got astro. Installed z4root. Would it be better to temporary or permanently root?

Once its perm. rooted it can be un-rooted, correct? Sorry for asking so many questions. I just want to be able to undo anything I do.

I belive temp root just mean that it will unroot upone reboot. Perm roots can always be un-rooted in one fashion or another. There are direction for unrooting in various post in this site and some programs have an "un-root" feature built in. I haven't used z4root yet, so i'm not familiar with its featres.
