Zune (WP7) UI on Droid

Someone asked on the dev's website if there was going to be an sort of update any time soon. His response:

I would say in the ballpark of sunday-ish ill try to also release a patch for zune home that day to address a few issues til 2.0 is live

Yay! Looking forward to 2.0 myself, and any future widget support. My biggest problems with the launcher right now is that it can't completely replace a more typical Android launcher. Quick toggles seem to be on their way with 2.0, but unless we have full customization options for those text toggles, my quick widgets will still reign supreme.

Well that's good. I haven't talked to him in about a month, glad hes still working on it. I thought he gave up. Looking forward to it

Good news! Yeah I think until this proves to have the same functionality as a regular launcher, it just won't be successful . Especially since it costs. Its got to have everything to bring people in to buy it. Most people that bought it so far are most likely familiar with zune hd(not many). Has tremendous potential.

I personally think the only significant thing that is missing is widgets. Ideally, I would love to see the quickpins page divided in half. The top half (or maybe top 1/3) would be devoted to the pins, and the bottom half (or 2/3) available for widgets.

Once widgets are somehow implemented into the launcher, I think it'll be sufficient as a permanent replacement.

Yeah I'm waiting for a new update. I'm using the miui rom now but I would like an updated version of this software.

yeah lol he takes his time i guess. i really wish he would post the betas for us to try. its coming along nice.

yeah thats first thing i noticed. looks way smoother. i believe he mentioned widgets in the video, i forget at the moment though.

edit: he says in the video there will be an add button and you will be able to add widgets.
