zb dude...stop being pompous. First, insulting people for their typing on a forum and being a grammar cop is redickless and lame. So what...ppl type from their phone and sometimes it recommends a change, or they type in texting format. Live with it. Nobody is going to speak on a public forum like we are submitting documents for peer review.

Make sure you have network location turned on in the phone settings. If it's turned off (which I suspect yours is), no apps can locate you based on network location.

Any idea what I'm looking for in the MIUI settings (my first night using this quite impressive ROM, so I am still feeling my way around). Near as I can tell, I have it set that way based on the settings in Settings> Personal> My Location. Both options there are set to enable and have been for quite some time.

I read an earlier "bug" thread about other people running into this issue. It seemed pretty isolated, so I wouldn't worry overmuch about it. I am cool doing the GPS thing as long as FW doesn't prove too much of a drain

I now firmly believe everyone should be required by federal and/or state law to pass a written and practical test to obtain a license that permits you to use the internet. These licenses should also come in different categories much like drivers licenses do.

Category 1 = Weather, News, Dictionary (read only)
Category 2 = Netflix, Hulu, YouTube (view only)
Category 3 = Email, Instant Messaging, Forums, Comments (read only)
Category 4 = Category 1+2+3 & Online Gaming, IRC (read and write/comment/edit)
Category 5 = PHP, Apache, FTP (Can Operate multiple machines, up to 5, at any one time)

Helping is fine. You just dont have to talk down to people like they are substandard human because they may not know how to do something. Not everyone has a level of understanding of the ins and outs of the d1 as you do...that doesnt make them any less of a person than yourself...just stop talking so arrogantly and negative toward people you are helping. Thats all.

You are a very helpful asset to the MIUI df community, just reading your posts seems to rub people the wrong way.
