No offense and I hate to ask but, is English not your first language? I can figuratively feel my brain cells dieing off every time I read such horrendous grammar.

Normally, I wouldn't care or say anything. But, if you're going to bash someone's grammar, you wouldn't mind having something pointed out to you, would you?

Like I said above, English isn't my first language; and yet I seem to get it right more often than most who are born and raised on nothing but English. Go figure, right?

The ignorance in your comments are unbelievable. Not to say that I am backing up all of ZB's actions, but its very annoying. The problems with MIUI are limited to this last release. As Jamezelle said, a fix is coming out tonight.

Helping is fine. You just dont have to talk down to people like they are substandard human because they may not know how to do something. Not everyone has a level of understanding of the ins and outs of the d1 as you do...that doesnt make them any less of a person than yourself...just stop talking so arrogantly and negative toward people you are helping. Anyways, I'm really done this time. I'm tired of the same old people coming to the rescue of anyone and everyone they feel I have somehow wronged. I'll take this for what it is, people who get offended over anything and hide behind the veil of "protector of the weak".

The weather widget seen in the video was posted a while back....like a month or two. I installed it and played with it on the D1 but I don't have the apk anymore. Here's the deal last I knew. It is not Beautiful Widgets but something the Miui team in China developed for the Miui rom. The reason it hasn't been included in the US/translated version of the rom is that it is useless in the US. It seems to only pull down weather info from a select few geo locations in China and nowhere else. Feel free to correct me if this is not the case but I believe it to be correct.

Make sure you have network location turned on in the phone settings. If it's turned off (which I suspect yours is), no apps can locate you based on network location.

Any idea what I'm looking for in the MIUI settings (my first night using this quite impressive ROM, so I am still feeling my way around). Near as I can tell, I have it set that way based on the settings in Settings> Personal> My Location. Both options there are set to enable and have been for quite some time.

I read an earlier "bug" thread about other people running into this issue. It seemed pretty isolated, so I wouldn't worry overmuch about it. I am cool doing the GPS thing as long as FW doesn't prove too much of a drain

Are you talking about the old Fancy Widget? Thats the one that was identical to Sense clock/weather widget but HTC made them change it. I've got the one before Sense made them change it. Got it from the Sense theme for the REVAMP3D ROM.

Anyway I'm using Miui11-19v1 and Fancy Widget gives me my local weather just fine. It wont work with GPS determining the location but it does with the zip code.

That seemed to work after I used Zip code then changed to GPS and removed the zip.
