okay after reflashing I am now getting random lockups and reboots. v1.1 ran so perfectly for me...anybody else getting these lockups? FWIW it seems to happen when re-arranging the homescreen icons or adding widgets. I have had 5 in <30 mins....

Are you sure it isn't. There or is the launcher icon missing. Put it in the dock, or look in manage apps.

Did you change kernels? Mine is flawless, except for the wifi-battery issue.

no stock kernel....very strange indeed as the first time I installed 1.2 there were no problems...wiped 3 x and reinstalled and restored apps thru miui, and now having the lockup probs. Could be something specific to my phone so don't let this scare you away

also having very slow screen redraws sometimes...around 5 seconds, but this was happening with 1.1 as well and I bet there is a fix I just can't find it

The only issue I'm having is wifi crushing my battery. So I turned it off.

In the past the miui backup has caused problems. I wouldn't use it.

Same here wifi hits the battery 70% use.

Absolutely, but you can always try not wiping, but can't post problems.

Actually I've used MIUI backup with the last couple of installations and it worked great. When I couldn't use phone in 1.1 reverted to a .7 backup I made of system and apps both and it restored nicely.

You'll get screen redraws when you open the keyboard with the launcher on screen, also coming out of dock mode. Hopefully in the future MIUI will fix this with updates for Milestone.
