Any news on WiFi? I use WiFi most everywhere I am (home, office) as it has always been less battery use then 3g. Hearing that it is a issue makes me almost want to flash back to a better and less buggier rom.

Also I installed the 2 optional update.zip packages in the OP, however I still dont see any apps from them. Gmail is basically a must

When installing for the first time does the screen normally flash a whole bunch of time saying MIUI android with the status bar and the lil android guy waving.

Anyone else not seeing Miui Music after install? I have flashed twice and it never installs. The lockscreen music controls work fine, just not the app

Thanks for the response. I know it is back, but it does not show in the launcher. I checked system/app and it is in there, but com.miui.player is not installed anywhere. Trying to reinstall fails and reflashing does not make it show.

Hey guys, I always flash a Rom with the Liquid method in clockwork....I wipe data/cache/factory reset, then wipe cache partition, then in partitions I format boot, then format system. People say it's not necessary to do all that but it works for me every time and I never have any problems whatsoever.

Still trying to learn the way it works, have a few quick questions.

1. What does the CPU button do in the notification bar? Do I need setCPU to configure my clockspeeds?

2. I thought MIUI had a scrollable dock bar like Launcher Pro?

3. Is the only to hide all the Apps is to throw them all in folders?

4. Where can I get some different themes?

I discovered my wifi just stopped working last night after I installed 1.2. I did a wipe, then installed. I flashed with Slahyer 1.6 1ghz. I believe at first I was able to use wifi. I tried to change my kernel to JDLFG 1ghz but my phone doesn't boot with that one. And then I tried chevy 1ghz, same wifi issue. Is anyone else having this problem?

I would still install cpu as it's easier to use in my opinon also go here for some themes
http://www.droidforums.net/forum/team-d1-miui/99864-miui-dev-themes.html themes will start poping up more and more now .. and i believe that is the only way to hide the apps is folders...

also no scrolling dock but you can change the launcher if you want

1. Yes, use setcpu. the cpu button lowers the set speeds by 200mhz when it's lit to save battery. i never use it.

2. not that I know of, but I don't use miui launcher so i'm not 100% sure.

4. there are some themes on droidforums.net, a lot here: MIUI Theming, and some nice ones on here: MIUI???? - ????Android ROM???? if you go through google translator (i have google chrome do it automatically) and are okay with struggling through the engrish. it's also not very organized but if you dig deep you might find something.

2. It does not.

So any reason why the update.zip's that are installing the missing apps not working?

Installed both .zips from recovery, nothing is showing up.

Rebooted and cleared launcher data twice each. Nothing

I need gmail and other assorted android / google apps without downloading each and every one from the market. They are a feature of android, why are they being removed?

Do we need the space or something?

I have a bug to report. Now that we're able to put a folder in the dock and put all the programs in there, and alphabetize them, I decided to try that. But every time I open the folder and scroll towards the bottom, the launcher force closes. Any fix or advice on this?
