Downloaded here at 920am! I tried before I went to bed last night at 1205 and it said I was up to date. It seemed sluggish at first ....the keyboard is much slower everything else seems improved.

New feature on froyo?

Im not sure if this is an old or new feature, so dont blast me too bad if this is old news, but I only noticed this after updating to 2.2. If you hold down the home key for a few seconds, a task manager will pop up so you can switch between one app and the other.

I'm not sure if this is old or new but I sure do like it!

It's old but it used to only be 6 apps, not 8. It's a good feature

That was already there. I believe it was 6 apps instead of the 8 now though.

Ota 2.2 upgrade went well on unrooted Droidx. Finally my wifi works! :icon_ banana:
Waiting to see how to root my phone now.

Scrued up Wifi?

After the update it wont stay connected to my Net Gear router. After forgetting the connection on my DX and restoring factory defaults on my Router still nothing. But it will connect to my neighbors Linksys just fine. Any ideas??

Welp, I'm Froyofied

I checked System Update at 9:30 a.m. EST (Maryland) and got a pop-up saying an update was available. DL'd it manually.

Initial impressions:

• It hasn't fixed my inability to download when I have WiFi turned on at work, which makes me think it's a network security thing. I'll have to test it on my WiFi at home.

• I'm not seeing a big difference in the Gmail app ... am I missing something? Do I need to download a new one? I replaced my shortcut with the Gmail app that's in the app drawer. Is there something else I should be doing?

• There's now a bit of a lag when I wipe from one home screen to another (I'm running LauncherPro Plus), when I try to scroll, and when I press an app shortcut. I rebooted, but the lag is still there. Anyone else have that happen?

• My album art seems to have disappeared from MixZing. Not all of it, though ... it's kind of random. This is mostly art that I saved directly to the album folder, not art I downloaded. Again, anyone else experiencing that?

I'm testing GPS and WiFi use today to see whether my battery life has improved; I'll report back on that, and on the ringer volume. Other than that, I guess it'll be a process of discovery.

yea go into market and download the gmail update from their thats all and yes some networks suck as work or school networks have it so u cant access the market

mines is still there. after you did the update, did you get a prompt to update certain apps? I believe mixzing was one of those apps. My album art shows just fine.

Actually, what is the "correct" error message? I get "Check for Update was not available at this time. Try again later" but the more and more I read this, the more I think something may be wrong on my end.

mines is still there. after you did the update, did you get a prompt to update certain apps? I believe mixzing was one of those apps. My album art shows just fine.

Hmm. I don't think I got that prompt. I just tried to update Mixzing, but it's not giving me the option to -- probably because I updated it a day or two ago. Is there another way to manually update it? I have the paid version, BTW.
