just received 2.2 update - took about 10 mins - seamless!!!!

Shouldn't you be telling us? What happens when you try to manually DL it?

mine downloaded fine, and has been stuck on the droid symbol/droid logo flashing between the two for about an hour now.. should i be worried?

Well, it may be 2.2, but there are different system versions from what I understand. If the leaked is version 2.3.14.MB810 and the official is 2.3.15.MB810, that's still an upgrade.

Did you have a leaked version or the stock 2.1 update 1? If you had the leaked version, you may want to try a battery pull and if still nothing, I have heard a hard reset seems to fix issues. (of course, you'll lose your home screens and download programs)

no i didnt have the leaked version, but i did pull the battery, so far has booted fine with the update

so, did my reflash, reprogrammed with *228, install went smooth. Not sure at this point if my editing of the build.prop file had any impact, or if it was that I had moved some bloat files. Pretty sure just being root didnt do anything to cause the install issue. Time to start playing with my settings again. Delayed because I had to drive to work.
