2.3 Update

Does anyone here who has the Gingerbread update use the SwiftKey X keyboard? I really like that keyboard and would hesitate to update if SwiftKey X didn't work with the update. Many times it guesses the next word I'm going to type after just one letter or sometimes before I even type a letter.

I have the 2.3 update and SwiftKey X works just fine.

JLS: I also use SwiftKey X (and love it!) with the update and have had no problem except the occasional keyboard sticking open as mentioned.

kmo: I would gladly use that download, my only concern was...if that version of the market gets an update will I still get it? In other words would installing this version take me off the update path since it is not being installed from Google? Maybe a dumb question I just don't know...

That's where I downloaded my market from. You're updates will be fine. it's basically just forcing your market to upgrade, and nothing gets affected.

The most incredible, incredible!

Ok so that market update worked just fine. Thanks kmo and Bravesfan.

But, the Google+ update showed up today and I immediately got the "low on space". It took me over 400MB used but I still had over 300MB free!

I see from other threads that others have had this problem, even previous to gingerbread(?), but it seems to have gotten worse on gingerbread.

I did see this when I first updated to Gingerbread (did not have it on Froyo). But it went away of course when I did a factory reset as I had very few apps. But I hit the limit today I guess!

Also read that when this happens you don't get gmail syncing. Sure enough my pc said I had a new gmail that was not showing up on my phone. The mail had come in more than an hour previous. I started deleting apps that I didn't need and sure enough when I got below 400MB, the warning went away and my gmail immediately popped up. I've seen reference to the "application space bug"...I assume this is it.

So I guess this must be another issue they are working on hopefully!

you'd make my day if you post that enlightened :)

Okay, here's the situation. I do have A file for you but it's got all sorts of weird stuff going on so I'm not going to post it. I won't go into particulars right now but suffice it to say that I wouldn't put this on my own phone so I'm certainly not going to risk any of yours to test out the bugs.

I'll keep looking for you guys and will post as soon as I find a stable, usable RUU and/or PB31img for you to use.

Oooooh official. With a hyphen and a name and all =).

thanks for the update though enlightened, I've seen one too, but my friend downloaded it, and it was riddled with bugs. Safe to say that I wouldn't put it on my own phone. Anybody wanna hazard a guess to what page number we'll be on when we finally get some bread?

The most incredible, incredible!
