2.3 Update

My next upgrade is due in January so I'm hoping they can move it up due to the circumstances. I can't view more than six pages in my browser until I have to clear my cache!
 
I loved my phone until they pushed out a glitch induced piece of an operating system (2.3). I had a few issues with froyo but nothing like i have now. Now the phone needs all the information wiped at least once a week to keep from getting the low memory notification.
 
From my understanding there is no way to do that unless you root the phone. I've never rooted but have read all the info on it and if they decline to upgrade me then that's my next step.

If anything all they would do is send you a CLNR before an upgrade. you have roughly 2 more months, I'd just ask for a CLNR and put up with it til then. 2 months would go by fairly fast, at least for me. Take the CLNR, root it, and ROM it then you'll have your upgrade in no time.


My official upgrade isn't until July '12. The guy who helped my family said come back when our 2yr contract ends and he'll try to help me out, Nov. 24. Wish me luck guys!
 
my friend has a dinc, (sorry, being my first post on this dinc forum, this deserves a : :D, great name, never call this anything else) and never got an update. i wanna own him with my droid gingerbread knowledge once he gets it by teaching him some cool things. any ideas on when/if he will get it?

Do you know if the clnr will come with froyo?
 
What bravesfan said. If you get a CLNR I'm going to bet the chances are it has froyo (2.2).
 
OK just got back from Verizon. They're sending me another phone which is fine I just want something that works like it's supposed to. I asked the rep if it would come with 2.2 on it and he replied "that's debatable", hopefully it does so I can root that sucker. Thanks for everyones help!
