2.3 Update

I was on the phone last night about 7pm talking to a guy they were trying to push me into an upgrade. I'm not upgrading anything till this feasco is fixed.

I got the same message as cybertec & stacey for my 2nd update--not enough memory for new update. My phone says I am using 328 mb of internal storage & have around 430 mb left. WTH

Why is everyone so upset, my 4.06xxx works fine, no issues here, once they push the 4.08xxx again, I hope to be good, till then I am not stressing it, my 2.3.4 Gingerbread is all good here, 4 months from now it will be the HTC Edge for me anyways.

FYI, Regarding my earlier post on "Failed to update my Location-No signal". When I restart my DINC, it goes away for awhile. When this warning is popping up, applications like My-Cast Weather and Thermo (a thermometer application that shows the temp based on your location) don't work because the apps don't know your location without turning on GPS. Never had that problem before. The location warning popped up again this AM & I rebooted. Fine for now.

Uh cuz I got my DINC in March 11 and have 145mb used with 603mb free on internal storage
288mb used with 15gb free on the SD card

and I have LOW MEMORY and therefore am not getting my messages. THAT is why I'm upset, this is bullsh*t to have to screw around with a "smart phone" that can't even determine what LOW MEMORY means.

Been there done that when the message popped up after the 2.3.4 update.
Also killed everything but stock stuff that the DINC won't let me uninstall so now what?

Short of stomping on and bouncing it off a verizon guy's head since they have given me the same useless commentary then stare at the message and saying "huh. well it should clear it..."

Eh why should they care they already got our $ AND got us by the nuts if we opt to go to another carrier or opt for another phone...

This is absolutely pointless. It's clearly not USER ERROR when here alone are 64pgs of the same damn complaint and going to vzw site shows countless issues dating back OVER A YEAR!!! Seriously?!

That doesn't work. I have more memory available now before the update since I got rid of some apps & I still get the low memory warning. Before the update, I did not get the warning.

For the record, it shows I have 437.03MB available with only 311MB used.

My Wife's Incredible updated yesterday to 406, now this morning. she got a notification for the 408 update.
Well all went well, so far, with a successful update.

Much to my dismay, I was not reprompted to install.part 2 this morning. It's way more irritating than just waiting for the first update because now I'm running basically nothing on my phone to make sure it can handle the update. Did anybody else get a.second attempt at part 2?
