(4-21) Jrummy's Remix V0.7 - Cyanmod 5.0.6.2 **5 Theme Choices**

Can anyone please offer me advice on the 2 Android keyboards that are listed in settings | Language & Keyboard?

Where are they located for me to try to delete one of them?

Also should I have the ability to choose different ringtones for different ppl,?
I don't even though I choose different ringtones only the ringtone set in Settings | SOund & display plays.

Thanks

Click on the contact you want to change the ring tone for. Click the menu tab at the bottom, and select options. Then you can select a ringtone for that contact.

I've been running Jrummy's roms exclusively for a couple of months. I've never had any problems. But for some reason I get frequent reboots and fc's after a few hours with v0.7. I've tried blue twice and cyan once. I run the fix permissions. In fact, it was ok until I did the fix permissions last time. Anyone else having these issues?

I did the green and switched to red as fast as I could get it downloaded, I love the red. I didnt have a single problem with either, but I did wipe data and cache before each time. I have clockwork backups and titanium back ups of my apps so its really easy to restore everything.
I would suggest you wipe data and cache and try a reinstall, but back everything up first.

Thanks for your help. I usually do a titanium backup, but it kept rebooting so often that I couldn't restore the apps. I'll try a clockwork backup of the apps. BTW, you mean running Jrummy's script for the backup of apps, right?

If you already have a titanium backup, I wouldnt worry about the apps. And as long as you have a previous nandroid or clockwork back up of your previous rom you should be sitting pretty. But not to worry, Just back up everything you can and start fresh. The reason I use Titanium is that it will restore the market links to the apps when I reinstall from a backup, I dont know if any other method does that.

For app backup and restore, how do you restore your apps with your script before you sign into the market if you have to sign into the market to get terminal emulator?

If you use titanium to backup, your market links will be intact after the reinstall. If you use the script backup, Terminal emulator is installed with the rom, just open terminal and run the script before you do anything else.

What's the difference between a nandroid and a clockwork backup. When you flash a new rom (using ROM manager) and it asks if you want to backup is that enough? I also have titanium backup for apps.

I still get some forecloses (with helix2) and some freeze/lag when switching between apps and so would like to flash the cyan v.7 again but this time wiping data and cache to see if that helps. So, can I just hit backup ROM before I flash it again?

Thanks for all the help people have been generously offering! Its nice to see such a supportive community!

I asked Koush a few weeks ago about his Clockwork backup and he posted it is Nandroid.

Don't know about everyone but I've been having issues for the last couple of weeks with Titanium Pro not restoring my apps successfully after loading up a new ROM. It seems random in which ones restore and which ones don't. Anyways, I just used Jrummy's backupapps script and when I upgrade to his next awesome ROM, I will be very happy if all my apps come back the way they should.

I just rooted & installed this ROM last night. Pretty awesome just one issue:

- Helix Launcher; when I open the 3d launcher, sometimes the text is off (not below icons, more to the side only showing part of the word)

When this happens, hit your menu button then press configure. Scroll all the way to the bottom and press the restart launcher button. It will close and restart the launcher and everything should be set back correctly in the app drawer.

customizing v.7

Has anyone removed the g1 sound recorder or g1 message with ill affect on the droid?
Also how can I access quick office? I see it is included with this version.

As always thanks for your help.
