4G/3G Outage in the US

Mine went out almost two hours ago. Hub unit had 4G on his Charge until about 15 minutes ago. He now has 3G; my only available data is Wi-Fi.

Just got 3G back, no 4G yet. They're saying don't try to switch to 4G yet on DL, apparently you'll kill your 3G temporarily if you do.

Something interesting I noticed with the signal dBm with just 3G active on the network:

Seems like the device has a fine signal.

I haven't had any trouble with 3g in Arkansas with the Thunderbolt.

3g ok in PHX, but 4g still out. Made the mistake of trying it. If you enable 4g, but it's out, it takes a bit to get 3g back up and running properly after disabling 4g again.

Which does prove one thing. There is a definite software bug that prevent the phone from degrading to 3g gracefully when 4g fails. Switching to 3g is quick if 4g is up, but what's the point of that?
