oh an thanks for the sticky i was getting worried that this would get lost in the forums plus i also stated in the OP i would be adding support to these FXZ files if another update happens to roll out before ICS (Lmao the DMX show made a youtube video of my work never thought my work would be so much help)

No problem and yeah, watched half of the video, very informative:cool:

(slaps forehead) lol i am getting FXZ FDR mixed my bad its been a long day for me on this forum helping people out with these files
I'm not so sure you have it completely wrong though. I have had two other Droids before my Bionic (a Droid 1 and an X2) and I have not had the issue of losing root upon doing a factory reset on either of those in the past. Maybe the fact that those phones are SBF'd and this phone is FXZ'd might have something to do with it? I did notice that there is no Superuser in the "downloaded apps" in the market on the other phones but it does show as a downloaded application on the Bionic. Thank you both for replying though. Factory reset isn't an issue to me right now as I tend to only want to reset when installing a new ROM or a new update, and if I do I can always go through the process again to regain root (or maybe there will be a new version of Tehroot, ROTA893, or Bionic Restorer for .902 in the future).

A new way to root 902:

There is a easier way to Root .902 rather then having to revert back and hope forever root works (didn't for me) or rootkeeper works (again didn't for me).

Go and download the Droid 4 exploit that is being called "motofail" from here.

Run the "run" file (sorry window only for now).

I did not make this... only letting people know about it. Hope it helps, it did for me.

Happy Rooting!

This may help people that are already on 902 and lost root.

Yup, lol, you could add this new info to the OP. I'm sure it will still be helpful to those that have bricked their phones.

I think the title will still work. Unfortunately, if it did need to be changed we would have to close this one and start a new one.

Took me a minute to find it, tapatalk formatting isn't so good lately, had to go to the browser, lol. Also, might want to mention it was jbroom's find, I had just found his post in another thread earlier.

just looked at my 4shared account i had 392 people download my FXZs an i would assume fixed there phones since i havent gotten a single piece of bad feedback so thats 392 newly fixed bionics thanks to my method lol now lets make it to 500

Hope you get there, it might slow a little bit now that 902 has been out for a little while, probably not as many people rushing to find a way to get there as there was initially but with positive feedback, hopefully it will get better.
