5.5.5.893 FXZ .901/.902 compatible and.902 update

All,

With the help of eye_dea and an edited file by timmy10shoes, my phone has been brought back to life!
Thank you guys so much! I definitely owe you one.

Anyone know how to get your kernel back to the original .886? These fxz worked for me while everything else wouldn't going from .902 to .886 but it looks like my kernel stayed the same as .902. Thanks.

U cant change the kernel with any file or fxz due to the locked bootloader unfortunately so with every update the kernel is changed an stays that way even if u fxz or a run a script to get back to a previous build

Yeah..kind of figured. My old safestrap backup(kin3tx) works great though. I had to find oc modules for .90x. Thanks for this and dropping knowledge!!! I had tried like 5 other methods but none worked. Only yours. You are the MAN!

Just wanted to let people know, I had a rooted & modded Bionic and am putting it on eBay. I downloaded the 902 file in the OP, put my phone in AP Fastboot mode, started RSD 5.6 and took a 20 minute nap. Woke up to a fresh clean stock 902.

Thanks Sarge!!!

+1......Add me to the list. I was down and out thinking she was a goner, due to the fact that I tried other unbrick methods that wouldn't work. Revived her with this method and she's alive again!!! Glad I kept Googling to find a fix for my problem. Thanks Sarge!!

Anyone have trouble getting your windows pc to pick up your bionic in ap fast boot mode? This had previously happened to me a long time ago so I know its not the fxz's. PC says usb not recognized. I have seen only fixes that were cable related. I thought it might be the phone but now I'm back to thinking its the windows xp. I'm not bricked but wanted to go back to stock since I got a 32gb sd card. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Tried all that. This happened to me about 6 months ago when I was bricked. Only way I got around it was using my friends apple laptop. That was when I was on 893. I don't know of any native rsd lite programs or dhackers custom fxz. I tried his newest one which didn't work for me (his newest I've seen anyways). Do you know of anything that would work on apples that are like rsd? I found bionicrecoverer but when I tried to use your .893 files it stated that it needed one more file to work. I forget which file but I did double check your 893 zip and it was not there. I'm assuming that there 893 fxz is different for you. Anyhow, I was so excited to get the new 32sd so I can partition and swap space it using webtop2sd on my modded atrix lapdock. Guess I'm going to have to wait and keep searching. THANKS!!

Probably the BionicRecoverer, the only thing is it didn't like the fxz you provided. I could look for the original 893 fxz that was used with it prob is Im not 100% it will work seing i tried dhackers method that looked identical to it. Actually, i think it is dhackers method but just ported. That method didn't work because I was on 902.

The original one won't work it will fail cuz ur on 902 the .893 and.886 fxzs in my op are currently the only ones that are compatible with the .902 cuz lol most people don't want to roll back that far so ur best bet is to find a windows based one unless u want to use mac an a terminal an manually flash every img file in the fxz

Nope. Haven't change my drivers in months. Installed the newest, nope. Installed the second newest, nope, Installed the third newest, nope. Installed the, well you get where I'm going. My pc picks up the bionic while in the gingerbread os as storage and pc mode but not in ap fastboot mode. I magically got it working one time and the pc said "your device might work better if you install it to a usb 2.0 port" or whatever that windows saying is. I wanted to make sure it wasn't a fluke so I disconected/connected it back and boom, "usb device malfunction, usb not recognized. I tried EVERYTHING. Safemode, nonsafe, ics, gbread....EVERYTHING. Only got it working that one time. I heard that our devices have a usb3.0 chip design and that's the culprit. I also heard that xp/7 store usb history and that that was the problem. I erased every motorola entry in my registry just now and nope didn't work. Not sure who to blame on this one, Motorola or Windows.

Would this method work if i have my phone on in any mode or does it have to absolutely be in ap fastboot mode?
