I'm running BB 1.1 right now and I want to try my first Froyo rom and this looks like a great one to try. I know through rom manager it gives you the option to clean data/wipe cache, but from my research it seems that for the first time going to a froyo rom, its recommended to wipe date/cache 3 times. But if I download this rom via rom manager it's only going to wipe the data/cache 1 time. What should I do?

game screen issue 
After installing FROYO 2.2 ROM, and installing flash, I have ONE issue ... a particular game I play from time to time (RacingLive - Storm8) has a peculiar issue - don't know if you'll understand how I describe it, but here goes. Upon loading the game, no real issue noticed, but when I go to any other part of the game and am required to scroll, I get a screen repetitive scrolling - this is, items on the screen will duplicate over and over as I scroll, thus making the game nearly impossible to play. Here's hoping you understand this and will respond

When I went from 2.1 to 2.2, I only wiped once without issues. If it doesnt work, just reboot phone into recovery, wipe a few more times FROM RECOVERY, then install again... Easy as pie.
Since I'm installing it via rom manager, if I have to go into clockwork recovery will it be the update.zip in there or what? Should I delete my old update.zip from first time I rooted?
awesome awesome rom. great work. was using BB .01, but this is def very streamlined for an early froyo rom. everything works, wifi, tether, overclock.
flashlight apps dont work for me . not that i use them that often...
running with launcher pro instead of adw runs much smoother for me.

one thing i noticed is that goodies is down on original post. i would like to donwload it if you get the chance to fix it. thanks again!

If you're using RM, either you downloaded one from there, or downloaded it from this site to your SD card. I have not downloaded from RM personally, but I assume it puts it into a folder somewhere on your SD card. They way I always do it is just download the zip (either on pc or phone) and slap it in my SD card. If you're in Clockwork recovery doing installs, you can choose to install zip from SD card, and then you can browse thru folders on SD card and select the right zip to install. As for your old update.zip, up to you if you wanna delete it - if u know it's "old". If you make backups, they all go into their respective folders anyhow.
Oh okay. I have always used SPRecovery an when I would click allow update and and install update an that would be it. So in Clockwork Recovery, when you click install update, it takes you to where you can browse folders on your sd card an then find the update.zip that I just downloaded through rom manager.

Mototorch works fine for me. Not the latest one, but whatever version was released previously. Market was kind enough to download the older version when restoring my apps.
I managed to get Kangerade installed, I'm liking it so far. But I can't figure out the scripts thing.
I want one of the live wallpapers, I downloaded the goodies file and flashed it.
Now I'm assuming I need to use terminal and run the script command there, I try that, it says "changed lwp to Android lwp!" but nothing happens.
What am I doing wrong?

Yes although its most likely not called update.zip, which is what makes clockwork nice, you can install any zip.

love this ROM jrummy. Its super quick and smooth, and no FC's to date yet. All the apps that I use work well. I got benchmark scores of 17-19 when on performance mode in setcpu running on chevys 1.1 ULV kernel. Keeps the temp down and still runs with sting. Also, since I flashed this last night, I charged once and unplugged at 100% at 6:50 this morning... After texting all day, running pandora, browsing internet, and playing papijump (its addictive), my battery is still at 40% so its the best battery life ive been getting out of any froyo rom.
