6-14 [ROM] Froyo Kangerade V1.0 *Blazing fast, 7 Theme options, many extras*

Unless it's been updated, I've got the goodies.zip. With JRummy's permission, I can upload to mediafire and post a link. If it will help.

This is exactly what I get when I hit the link on page 1...

How do I get permission?

You don't have permission to access /jrummy/froyo/V1.0/Froyo_Googies_update.zip on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Yeah, a separate link for the goodies would be nice. I dont think he'd mind at all... I mean he's posting a link up here, same as a link on mediafire or where ever. Free for anyone to download and distribute. All credit goes to the man.

And to whoever wrote about permissions to get the goodies above me (sorry I just read over it quickly), it's not a permissions thing, it's his server. It was hit hard today, and went down. He just hasn't fixed or mirrored the goodies yet.

Cool...it's up in my previous post...I've just never done that before and I didn't want to rub anyone the wrong way. Especially not after he's put out such a fantastic piece of work.

Awesome. Thanks man. Nah, I think he understands and wont mind. Atleast temporarily while the server is down. He may request it to be taken down once he server is back up, and I might understand why. But for now, I'm sure he's cool with the froyo love goin on, and wont mind.

Pardon my stupidity, but do I need to make sure thee googies and rom folder are both in the root of the SD card when flashing in order to utilize the googies on flash? I'm relatively new to the android world and still have a LOT to learn coming from years of WM. This looks like a GREAT rom, and I love all of the themes.

add & rm 3dmusic script question

So, I'm looking at the screenshots and thinking, "Why doesn't my music app look like the picture?" So I ran the add3dmusic script, but all that did was install 3 (cubed) music player, which I'm not a fan of. So I ran the rmadd3dmusic script, and it removed the stock music player and left 3 on there! I poked around my SD card and found a folder called JRummy, which had a Music.apk in it. I copied that to my /system/app folder, changed the permissions to match the others, rebooted, and there is the new music player mentioned in the OP!!

So...for anyone who runs into this, that's what I did to get the (very nicely!) modded "stock" music player.

Thank you for that. I asked about this like 10 pages ago but it just got buried. I shall remove the current one, and stick the one from the jrummy folder in system/app :D

Are you using SPRecovery or ClockworkMod?

If SPR, then you need to rename the ROM to update.zip on root of SD, flash it, then once all loaded and set up with first boot, rename the goodies.zip to update.zip, replace the former update.zip, reboot into recovery, flash it, then reboot.

If CWM, no renaming needed, and the .zips can be anywhere on your SD card (preferably somewhere not too difficult to navigate to, root is easiest, yes). Reboot into recovery, install zip one, install zip two, reboot. done.

I believe you can go into terminal emulator and type in:
su
music

it will switch the music apps for you, it was mentioned earlier by Jrummy.

Thanks alot for the fast reply. FWIW, I am now using CW, so no renaming needed. I just wasn't sure if the googies was accessed during the actual rom flash, or if it needed to be flashed separately. You answered that very clearly for me! Thanks Again!

love this ROM jrummy. Its super quick and smooth, and no FC's to date yet. All the apps that I use work well. I got benchmark scores of 17-19 when on performance mode in setcpu running on chevys 1.1 ULV kernel. Keeps the temp down and still runs with sting. Also, since I flashed this last night, I charged once and unplugged at 100% at 6:50 this morning... After texting all day, running pandora, browsing internet, and playing papijump (its addictive), my battery is still at 40% so its the best battery life ive been getting out of any froyo rom.

Thanks again Jrummy for this awesome ROM

Nice sig.. did you make that?

Yeah i made it in photoshop while I was bored real quick

With the new music app, just make sure that you don't select the playlist tab... it will force close, and continue to do so every time you open the music app until you go into Settings>Applications>All then clear the data in the music app.
