6-14 [ROM] Froyo Kangerade V1.0 *Blazing fast, 7 Theme options, many extras*

JRummy First I would like to thank you for all your hard work and dedication that you put into the Droid community. I am having some issues with the Foyo ROM and was wondering if anyone can stear me in the right direction or give me any advice. I am currently BB V 1.1 for the fourth time. I have downloaded the 2.2 Rom four times using rom manager the install goes through fine. I have tried four different kernels. The first three kept freezing up my phone and turning it off on the fourth one I tried the Blue ROM and let it sit for about an hour before I touched it and it worked fine for a bit. Then today after restarting my phone I let it sit for an hour and it started freezing again and had to pull batt a couple of times. I went back to BB but would like to be using 2.2. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Try installing this rom but select no kernel.

I don't see anyone talking about a weird problem I've just discovered...

When viewing stuff in the 3d gallery, it resets the view and reloads all the thumbnails every 4 seconds. This happens on the gallery selector with the "stacks" of pictures, on the gallery view where you're choosing and individual picture, and even in the new Flickie Wallpapers HD (which seems to use the built-in 3d gallery).

Anyone else have this problem?

I get no error message -- the screen just reloads on me. I did a clean wipe before installing... What could it be??

I deleted some stuff off my sd card, and this problem disappeared. Nothing really stood out at me, so I'm not even certain exactly what did it.

First of all love it. Im using the Cyan and having no problems now.

Issue: Trying to move some apps to SD but the option is grayed out.
Any Ideas?

The individual app has to allow transfer to the SD card. So, if the app hasn't been updated to be '2.2 compliant' in this regard, it will not be able to be moved.

First of all, the ROM is awesome. I have the Red theme, and it's just amazing. I downloaded and installed chev's ulv 1.1, and that thing flies like no other.

Which brings me to my question.

It is eating the battery like no other. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced it--given that I'm new to rooting and such, I could possibly have overlooked something basic, and would NOT assume it is a flaw in the ROM.

Advice would be greatly appreciated.

First off, I was getting a FC on the com.android.phone (I think was the name) - basically the dialer... When getting a call, or during/after a call there'd be a message on the screen. It didnt affect the call or drop it, just said something about a FC - was odd. But I ran a fix permissions and all is well now.

Ok, my real "issue" is with these scripts. I gave up on the whole music one, I dont use it very much anyway, so I'd rather a functional one, than none at all. And I couldnt for the life of me get anything copied to my system/app folder - but I'm very new to that aspect of things. Idk if I need to mount system or what, but I assumed godmode would allow me to just copy stuff into there from ASTRO... but what do I know lol.

ANYWAY, main issue are the LWPs. Cant get a damn one working, and now I cant get the installed neural back either... I've read some ppl have used them with success, but not on my end. Idk what affects success or failure (i.e. kernel, etc) but everything else works just fine - including the LWP that was installed along with the ROM... I just cant change it to any of the goodies ones. Ideas? I'm running Cyan with Chevy's ULV1.2. Spanks!

Jrummy... +1 on all the thanks for the hard work! You didnt have LauncherPro on your list of stuff you are working on but I see "need to update" next to it on page one. I love LauncherPro so can you please add this to the list?

Thanks!

How long have you had the rom running? I found that after a day or so the system settles in and speed and battery life are much improved. This rom is giving me great battery life. Overnight while sleeping the battery usage was almost non existent a drop of like 100mv. You may want to use Setcpu to set up profiles for sleep and charging as well as temp. Although the temp sensor for the CPU is not working with Froyo builds. Also, a task killer although I'm not sure that they make much of a difference depending on what programs you have running.

Alarm Clock

just installed Kangerade cyan and noticed the clock screensaver when docked is back to green, is that a setting or oversight? Was cyan on 0.8 ROM.
Awesome work as usual and thanks . . .

@skourg3 rsdlite worked like a champ. thanks for the input, I really appreciate it. this community rules. so glad to have an android phone that I can do whatever I want with, break from time to time, and still get input on bringing it back from the dead.
