[ROM] [6/6/2012] CM7 for the Droid Pro based on GB

If I'm updating from 1005 to 1015, what do I need to wipe before flashing the zip? Just davlikcache, or data/system/cache as well?

Also, at what point in the procedure do I flash gapps? Right after I flash 1015, or do I restart it first?

From now on, just an install then a cache wipe will work. As long as you don't wipe the system you won't have to reflash gapps

If you have to flash gapps for the first time, you can flash it right after you install the zip, no need to reboot then install

I believe I've fixed the keyboard force closing in portrait. What I did was make the virtual keyboard (the squished thing that sits on the bottom) a tiny bit bigger. It hasn't done it once for me :)

first, make sure you battery is charged. then download the 4.6.8 update.zip and put it on your sdcard renaming it to just update.zip then sbf to 3.8.7 upon reboot, press the power button + r + m and it will take you to the stock recovery. there you install the update.zip that you downloaded and when it reboots, root with the d3 method, boot strap, reboot into clockwork, wipe system data cache and dalvik cache and install the newest cm7 .zip i've put up.

reboot and enjoy!

I'm admittedly an amateur who is currently running a rooted version of the leaked Gingerbread. I have been following this thread for a few weeks and think it's about time I take the plunge. That having been said, I have some questions about the steps to take between those listed above:
1. Where, exactly, do I get Gapps?
2. Should I use Titanium to create a backup? Does that = creating an update.zip through Titanium? Or... can I simply back up the apps I've downloaded?
3. Given 1 and 2, can't I just back up Gmail, Calendar, etc. through Titanium and not download Gapps?

Thank you!

Ok... for the data issue on gsm I've created a rule with tasker...
And so when my phone is without signal or I'm calling, tasker disables data and when I hang my call, or the signal came again tasker renables my data...
Now I've my data always connect, and I don't have any issue...
If you want I can send you my tasker's profiles...
Bye!

Installed it on my OG droid. Couldn't get the corporate address book to work and couldn't connect to the company e-mail server. Gave me an error 0. Other then that it seemed to run smoothly.

I lose very often my data and I must connect and then reconnect...
And my wifi very often give me an error, or can't receive the right ip address and I must run fix permission and fixedataswitch...
You know that my English is very poor...
But I know that your rom is great!!!
I can alive very well with this issues, but if you can correct...
Thank you...

Just flashed 10.24 over Good1015, and then wiped cache. Keyboard issue seems to have resolved, but I get an "android.process.acore" error (the full error message is: "the process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. please try again") when I click on a couple of contacts via the LauncherPro contacts widget.

I am running CM over 2.6.32.9 kernel / n_01.81.00r baseband
