[ROM] [6/6/2012] CM7 for the Droid Pro based on GB

Just flashed 10.24 over Good1015, and then wiped cache. Keyboard issue seems to have resolved, but I get an "android.process.acore" error (the full error message is: "the process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. please try again") when I click on a couple of contacts via the LauncherPro contacts widget.

I am running CM over 2.6.32.9 kernel / n_01.81.00r baseband

Hmmm I'm really not sure why that would happen. Try a fix permissions in Rom Manager as that oftentimes gets rid of a force close issue. If that doesn't work, I'd try a dalvik-cache wipe in recovery. If that doesn't solve the problem, if might just be a bad compilation of the source where something messed up during the build process. If you can just not use those widgets until the next build is published (should just be a few days from today) I'm sure the next time it builds it will be fine

I'm getting a status 7 error in CWM when I attempt to install 1024. Already did a wipe cache and retried...this is with CWM 5.0.2.0.

Any thoughts?

After your latest update I'm having a few issues.
First my calendar. I use google calendar because of my irregular work schedule, and the best widget for me is the Go Calendar Widget (I also use GoLauncher)
In agenda mode everything comes up fine, except for the times that I work from 6pm to Midnight. It used to be that that is what was shown if I put in 6 to 12.
Now I have to make it 6 to 11:59, else I see something weird.
Here's a screenshot of what I mean:

Then there's the weird button when I edit the times:

Then there's the menu we get when we hold our power button.
It's all confused...
Instead of showing the normal options, it's giving me something else.
In order for me to reboot, I have to press on airplane mode.
Here's another screenshot:

I come from 1013, installed 1024 followed by format cache in mounts and storage
I've tried fix permissions and wiping dalvik cache.
I've tried clearing the data of the calendar.

I'm thinking I'll have to restart again, but I really don't want to sbf so if you have a suggestion I would appreciate it.
(I actualy had a backup this time but accidentally deleted the wrong folder :P )

What in the world... I'm speechless lol. I'd try wiping your system, then reinstalling the 1024 zip again, don't forget to reflash gapps as you will have just deleted your system and gapps was located there so you will have to put it back by flashing gapps. Try wiping dalvik cache and cache after you install gapps then reboot

@cool

Are you on the correct kernel? What does it say besides error 7? You have to come from the Official 4.6.8 Gingerbread from Motorola
If you do have the correct setup, it's probably because of the newer clockworkmod. I've had nothing but problems with the new clockwork which is why I never updated it once I did it by accident. I'm not entirely sure how to get back to the older clockwork version either.. :( is it in Rom Manager?

yeah I figured you'd say that.
Say, what drivers are you using on your Pc? for some reason my phone isn't being recognized anymore. I keep getting MTP USB Device failed to install driver.

I know, very unrelated but it's annoying me, I can't drag and drop updates/gapps

ah I figured out what I did wrong I think
After applying the update I noticed my lockscreen was gone. (I use a lockscreen from a theme called Crystal)
It is built with zipthemer, but I used the same file I used before.
I should have built a new one with zipthemer like I just did.

Atleast I'm guessing that is what the problem was. I'm assuming that with the update, some system files were changed and zipthemer built the mod based on my old system files.

Could that have been it?

If not, it doesn't matter everything is back to normal now. Smooth as butter
Now if only I can remember to turn off my dang wifi before rebooting...

Jackpot,

I am coming from 1015 build (which is running fine, except for the keyboard force close errors), so I believe I am on the right kernel.

The specific error says, "assert failed: run_program("/tmp/check_kernel") == 0 E:error in /sdcard/1024.zip (Status 7) Installation aborted."

I went back to the old CWM (2.5.06), which helped me put 1015 on the phone, and still get this error.

Any help would be much appreciated.

SOLVED--just removed the line of code in the update file that asked for Kernel assert.

Hey guys, Tomorrow I'll also buy an European version of droid pro, with froyo...
Do you think that I can install this cyanogenmod or the old one with froyo?
It's global, such as our, I'm sure...!

This is awesome stuff. The Gingerbread OTA was a mess... hot phone, mysterious battery drain, and so forth. This works great.

I will be buying you a beer, sir. In the meantime, I have a couple questions/suggestions:

1) Do you think a future build might enable mapping an action to the side shortcut button? I kind of miss that.
2) I can kind of see the soft keyboard peeping right underneath the autocorrect "ribbon" when I type. This is a minor annoyance to be sure, but I thought I'd let you know.

Thanks!

In this 1024 update I've the same wifi issue... but I've seen also that if I switch to cdma my wifi doesn't give me the error during the activation...
