[ROM] [6/6/2012] CM7 for the Droid Pro based on GB

I'm enjoying this ROM nearly fully, but I do have a problem. My settings don't seem to apply, and when I change the screen timeout (via Power Widget or other third party Widget) nothing works unless rebooted. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

If you look at the first post, he's got a few steps for you to do that seem to correct the problem. I was having the same issue and did that, and it has seemed to work pretty well.

GOOD NEWS: ICS is compiling now.

BAD NEWS: It will take one day for me to compile it (I have a pathetic i3 CPU with 4GB RAM only, Google recommended having 16GB RAM to compile ICS in 5 hours) and there is a very high chance the result is "it's not working at all," and there is a chance that we'll never be able to get ICS working at all, so don't set your hope too high.

There are a lot of hoops to jump through before I can even get everything to compile and it quits every once in a while to complain about things, so I guess it will take a while before I can churn out anything.

Thanks Jackpot for your help and I will update progress in here and hijack Jackpot's thread every once in a while to update my ICS progress occasionally. I wouldn't even know when to start if I didn't base my work on Jackpot's work.

Hey Jackpot, I have a question, how do you deal with those missing files?

I've got the Android vendor/motorola/venus2/venus2-vendor-blobs.mk from you and those files are missing (I did ./extract-files.sh)

DO you have them or should I be commenting them out?

Don't hold your breath please I am a complete newbie and I'm not very confident with my ability to deal with all this crazy stuff... It's very tricky to get a build going esp. with this Motorola proprietary kernel. It makes things a hundred times more confusing.

I was referring to Jackpot's post from earlier today.

However, now I see that it was you that made the post about compiling ICS, so maybe Jackpot's new build is another GB build rather than an ICS build.

Oh haha don't get your hopes up yet, the build I'm making with the broken camera is still gingerbread. Our processor (omap3) is not ready for ics yet. I'd give it a month or so

I hate to bring this up again... but I cannot get my macbook pro to recognize my phone since I went CM7. It obviously recognized it before --> rooting and ROMing required file transfers. I've tried setting it to charge only and back, restarting the phone, restarting the computer... and I'm having no luck. Any thoughts?
