[ROM] [6/6/2012] CM7 for the Droid Pro based on GB

Shouldn't have to do it again, though if you travel internationally, you should keep a nandroid of a good VZW GB build. This ROM has issues switching between cell and wifi on GSM networks.

I am a complete rookie. One of my coworkers installed CM7 and I want to go back. Can someone please explain to me (in idiot terms) how to get my old system back? I am very frustrated...

Did you make a CWM backup? If so, just restore it. If not, you should always make a CWM backup before doing anything like this.

Also if not - you have to SBF. See the resources thread on the main board.

I got it throught the first suggestion, a CWN backup and restore. I am getting error messages, saying different things need to force close, because the coworker is using bloat to block apps so I can tether. Does anyone know how to get rid of these error messages?

Is your backup a gingerbread backup?

If so, try going to advanced restore and choosing your backup then restore system, then restore data.

See if that works.

I don't travel internationally (though I will this summer) but in all honesty I have never done a nandroid backup, nor do I know what that is exactly or how it's beneficial. I have never been in a situation for that, though I have SBFed my phone many times no problem.

Hy! Some users on xda put the american's sbf, on European pro! After 48 hours without battery, their phone has rebooted...
And so now I can understand because my european phone was american! (See other post)
Now we must understand if there is any issue for trying this and for installing your mod rom!

Its beneficial so that you can just restore it in CWM Recovery f you have any problems. You do it by choosing backup in CWM

I recently updated to the newest build, and had the issue where the key backlight wasn't working. I wiped data and reinstalled the ROM. Everything was great for several weeks. Yesterday, I turned my phone off because of a low battery, and now my backlight isn't working again. Any idea why?
