Two things:

RSD Lite is a PC program. Are you saying you have a D2G and not a D2? If you'd told me that I would have pointed you at the right SBF right away.

Also the next time you go to flash the custom rom do not unzip. I noticed in the op that you unzipped then tried to install,

Well, make sure you're flashing a D2G ROM onto a D2G. Anything else and you'll screw your phone up. Bad.

Yeah 2 big mistakes there. Tried to install a D2 rom on a D2G, and unzipping the file. Read up on everything next time before you do anything and you will be fine

yea, for some reason i wasn't really thinking there was a difference between the d2 and d2g.

i didn't unzip it before i installed, i just saved it to my desktop and moved it onto my sd card for clockwork to unzip.

arrrrgg. alright, so, on the latest link you sent me, the RSDlite 4.9 with Drivers - Download is an invalid link.

so i searched for a 4.9 download, downloaded it, but i need the drivers now. where can i find the drivers? i've searched, but not sure if i found the right ones, and as you know i've messed up enough already haha. thanks for your help guys, very very very much appreciated.

hmm, yea, those drivers worked. the 4.9 i downloaded didn't install right, so i downloaded 4.8 and it's fine.

are you positive that's the right sbf? what do i do once i install it, just move it to the desktop?

edit:
move it to the desktop to find with rsdlite correct?

I know you're worried about your phone. Please relax and trust me. There is only one SBF available for the D2G and it has been tested working. You can then update OTA or reroot and install your ROM, etc. That SBF is it.

What do you mean, what do you do once you install it?

yea, those drivers aren't working. when i plug in my phone, i hear a noise through my computer, but when i open rsd lite my device doesn't show up... i've downloaded, and redownloaded the drivers, i must be doing something wrong

Did you install the app, then run the app and clean out your old drivers, install new ones, and then reboot the PC? That's the failsafe mode. Once you've done that make sure the phone is in bootloader before connecting to the computer.

alrighty. i downloaded everything again on a fresh laptop, and rsd lite picked up my phone. i selected that sbf you linked me to, then rsd lite did it's thing, then it got to a part where it just said flash failed. so now what do i do?
