I'm at a loss even. Never had anyone else with any of these issues. I just don't know anymore. Let me checks with be about it though.

This second 'from scratch' reinstall was working fantastically with cvpcs's kernel, very cool, with the exception that my nonpaid apps didn't auto reload...... then when I tried to turn on my wifi, all hell broke loose....so not one other has had that issue with wifi on this ROM? ... this has never happened with any other ROM installs, at the most was that I had to sign back in to my router...

Had Wifi issues with UD7 even when I was standing next to my router and my X had full wifi signal... It seemed like my Droid wanted to connect but then would just drop the wifi signal and never connect. Did multiple clean installs (Data/cache wipe x3) with no help.

Went back to Sapphire for the time being. Really liked all the extras UD has but I need my wifi to connect

There's the Fix Update from UD's site that'll fix that...

For me everything 'was' running great again.... then I tried to use Wi-Fi... and all hell broke loose!!!... it scans for a connection (which should connect automatically to my roiuter)..but it then tries to turn off and gets stuck there and reboots my Droid... and upon reboot it's still stuck at that problem and reboots again, and again... WTF??...
There's gotta be some issue with this ROM... it also still doesn't automatically reinstall all my apps unless I use Titanium...

I'm about to give up on UD all together....
I'm back to my TRUSTY ole 'vanilla BB v0.4...at least it's the stablest ROM for my Droid, even though it is slightly harder to customize...

And yet I am experiencing none of what you just described. Running UD 7.0 with the patch fix from BD.

I dont know why you are having so much troubles with it. I have had his roms since 6.0 and i dont have any troubles at all. I have never even had any fcs or anything.every option works and i dont have issues running any apps. Seems like maybe your phone just doesnt care for the rom. That isnt totally uncommon. I had the same troubles with ss when i tries running it. Good for a day then all hell breaks loose. I havent had that trouble with ud.
I want to like UDv7 so badly, but it seems so much work to get it running correctly on my Droid...don't know why... I had all kinds of issues with UD 2.5 (I think 2.5)... but almost every other ROM I've tried runs near flawless, just comes down to a couple lags or glitches once in a lng while.... SS, Sapphire, BB, even Lithmod, all ran pretty damn great on my Droid, and extremely cool on top of that...BB the absolute stablest, then Sapphire, then SS, and lastly Lithmod (which I really didn't give it much effort to tweak)... UDv7 landed on the run at first install, but I've found things glitching more and more.

*So how are all of you getting the market to update all of your Apps??
*So your Wifi works without a hitch? I was able to sign into my router once, and then it promptly went back to scanning and not finding on reboot, even though the wifi was left 'on'...
*post screenshots of your coolest temps with the UD app in the shot, I'd like to see what kernels are getting you guys the low rtemps as well, if can
You have to remember one very important thing about the Droid. The Droid is basicly a hand held computer with a phone built in. Just like computers, every computer interacts differently, depending on what other apps. are installed on the system. This is most likely why, different phones act differently for different people. System files are all being used by the apps. installed. Some at the same time which in some cases causes lock-ups and reboots. Don't blame the dev. of these Roms. Why do you think Motorola take months to come out with even the smallest of updates. Testing, testing and more testing! Could go into more details, but most wouldn't understand the inter-connection of programs to available Ram / performance output. Enjoy these Roms that the Dev. have made. Just remember, everything you do and put on your droids, is what in the long run is causing your problems. Hope this was of some help.

Anyone else having a problem selecting a photo from the gallery for the wallpaper? Every time I select a photo I want, it switches the photo?

I installed that did fix anything for me? I used clockwork's install rom from sd card, I assume this is how we are to install it? Anyone else have a fix?

Im having a problem with auto rotate. It will only rotate with an app open, not with the slide open ot with turning the phone over.

I used UD6 but switched to sapphire. i was having problems with my 3G and wireless tethering on UD6. Can anyone tell me if they are having similar problems on UD7 and if I should switch back or stick with sapphire

Did you remeber to *228 after installing the rom? Always need to to get best signal.

Check in launcher prefrences you have auto rotate clicked, or under display in phone menu.

Just wanted to post some cheerful news since all anyone does is complain these days.

Been running every successive UD update since 3.0 and I haven't had any problems whatsoever. It is easily the smoothest, fastest and most feature filled rom i've run, and i've ran 'em all.

If I downloaded UD 7.0.0 file from BD's website how do I install the ROM?

I tried using ROM Manager to open it via "install from SD" and it gave me an error. I tried flashing to SPRecovery and installing and still no go. So how do I use clockworkMod or SPRecovery to install it and give it a try?

Using sprecovery, did you put the file in the root of your sd card then rename the file to update.zip?

That would be the first stop on your troubleshooting journey.

I flashed from Clockwork to SPRecovery in ROM Manager and then renamed it to update.zip on the root of the SD card. I rebooted to recovery and used the allow update.zip then the install (deprecated) and it started to load for a second then said aborted.

I'm not certain this will work but you may want to try uninstalling ROM Manager then reinstalling it. Seems to be the fix for that thing.

Can't you just drop the update into the SD card and flash it using SPRecovery?

It keeps aborting.

Side note: I am also from NE Ohio.

This is weird I have never had a problem using SPRecovery through ROM Manager to install like this hence why I wondered if UD was different.
