I've run BB.4, Sapphire 1.0, and now I'm on UD7.

Seemed to work well with the stock kernel, but I wanted a little more for psx. CVPS 1000 lv kernel threw me into a boot loop so I restored, and tried chevy's 1000 lv.

I have to say, this is as smooth and as fast as my phone has ever run. The customization available in this rom is sweet. That, coupled with Luna theme... its going to take a lot to get me to switch now.
Exactly how I felt up to the point I tried to use wifi.... how's it working for you?
Even happened with UD v6.0, and the unpaid apps still didin't reload

I never had problems with my wifi with any UD ROMS. Have you tried connecting after doing a clean install?

I haven't had any problems with UD 7.0. I guess I've Just been lucky. No wifi or wireless tethering problems. Battery life is not quite as good as lithium mod but, its waaaaaaay better than stock 2.2.

At first it acted like it didn't want to connect to my home network. But I just made it forget it, then it found and connected with no problems. I've. Switched it off and on throughout the day with no other issues.

None of my apps restored. They were all under my sownload section, all "dowloading" but never actually did.
I cancelled them one by one, then downloaded them manually.

low mem killer settings on UD 7.0

I have been observing more memory available in UD 7.0 compared to Saphire and CM6 which none of them never fiddle with memory settings.

So I checked minfree values in UD7.0

8,12,24,28,32,32 (all in MB)

and the default values are

6,8,16,20,22,24

I am surprised UD is tweaking first two values FOREGROUND_APP and VISIBLE_APP which by all means shouldn't be touched.

Free memory is wasted memory in Android. Tweaking memory settings will have some adverse effects on apps. I haven't seen this changes mentioned in changelog.

That's how mine usually is for 'all' of my apps, even the unpaid ones.... and if left alone they all do eventually download and install.... but not since I tried UD v7... and now it only shows the paid apps for whichever ROM I try to install..... something isn't syncing correctly like it used to before, don't know if the pre-fix UD ROM auto back-up at Google sign-in after install?? Anyways, I just tried loading several different versions of Froyo ROMs and none of them list any of my unpaid apps anymore??

As for the wifi issues that I saw UD7, I load Liquid's FRG22 ROM and UD v6.0 and both also had the same wifi issue of freezing my Droid after scanning for wifi and then trying to shut off wifi because it didn't find any networks... so I think I narrowed it down to FRG22 ROMs not playing well with my Droid... don't know why but that appears to be so for me...
could it be because I'm use ClockWork and not SPRecovery?

there havent been any adverse affects i noticed. my droid runs smoother and faster on this rom then any other out there. Every thing could use some tweeking. There is no such thing as perfect, it can always be improved.

Well I finally figured out my wifi problem... it appears to be related to running cvpcs's kernels. I really thought that I tested it at least once prior to installing that kernel, but I guess I hdn't. Upon another clean reinstall of UDv7, I tested this time prior to installing the kernel and that was it... I did have to enter my WPA key (it's usually remembered with other ROM clean installs)...

Anyways, I just reloaded one of Chevy's kernels and the wifi works perfectly...

so....... looks like I'll be proceeding with loading my Luna Theme customized w/Smoked Glass (thanks and credit to IcculusX and Adamz :)) ...cheers and sorry for the longer than needed troubleshooting fiasco..

Thank You Corina... although I feel a little foolish for not ruling that out from the very beginning...

i have lost the functionality to change font and boot animations. I know it worked at some point, because I had changed it a few times. I'm currently stuck on the stick figure boot animation and a font that looks cool, but makes it difficult to read at times. Do you know what I can do to gain this functionality back? Do I need to re-install the ROM?

BTW - I know sometimes it takes a re-boot to take effect. I have been trying that with no luck as well. Everything else works perfectly.

This is probably a really dumb question, but where can i find the enable/disable Data Roaming? Is it not on this ROM? Just wanna make sure i dont have it enabled.

BTW, i have no complaints running UD 7.0....its running fantastic for me!
