[ROM] [Alpha] Ics4Bionic 01-25-2012

I think the two calendars are from syncing your google account, as the second didn't show for me until after doing that.

More importantly, ZumoCast is working on the phone!!! Obviously audio and video aren't working, but I successfully connected to my account, saw my library, and was able to "watch" something from it, meaning it connected, buffered, and crashed. That is fantastic. I'm regretting my purchase less and less every passing day XD

EDIT: Something I just noticed. The capacitive buttons seem to stay lit even when the phone is locked...

Go to display settings and turn in auto brightness and they will go off. Still a sensor issue

This is great stuff. Just uploaded all my apps via Titanium Back up. One small issue i've noticed is the keyboard input. When i'm typing a message always pops up asking to select an input method. When i try and select the default ICS keyboard, the message keeps popping up. Once i Selected a third party keyboard, it stopped. But other then that, it's awesome!

The progress on this is awesome! Already to alpha 6. Continue the good work. Still a bit shy to try it but I will attempt a Beta (my Bionic is not even 2 weeks old yet). I can't wait for the finished product.

Home Capacitive Button: PARTIAL FIX

For anyone having trouble with the Home button not responding / working at all- I found the problem and a fix. Looks like in the build.prop- the key "102" which reflects the "Home" button maps out to a different command then what it's intended to be.

FIX:
Go to this thread: [App] ButtonRemapper - Beta v0.2.4 (New Galaxy S version added) - xda-developers - and scroll to the bottom of the first post. There is an app called ButtonRemapper v0_2.4.1.apk <-- Download it. Install it.

Open up the app.

Then, within the app:

1) Find the button code "102" in the left most column - it'll say (Move home) next to it
2) Click it- and then under Action select "Home" from the drop down menu
3) Press OK- then hit Apply (mine rebooted the moment I pressed APPLY). Just make sure you reboot.

Once you've booted up - you'll notice that the Home button works perfectly- along with the App-previews when Long-pressing the Home button.

Hope this helps.

If I were both of you, would try this: Uninstall Safestrap, download a new copy for Bionic from Hashcode's site (I have heard of a couple of guys who dl'd the one for D3 by mistake, also termed 1.06, but they are ever so slightly different, at least they have a different MD5), and new copies of alpha 1 and alpha 5. After uninstalling safestrap, use root explorer and go find the safestrap folder and delete the remnant files. The install the fresh safestrap, toggle into safe mode, wipe data, cache, dalvik, format system, install alpha1, reboot into ICS alpha 1, reboot into safe strap, install alpha 5. Reboot into alpha 5. If you boot loop, pull your battery and reboot again. It's a lot of trouble and steps, but that should get you there.

Where is alpha 1 I've been lookin

Well, I just got the latest version installed. It's awesome. I don't have wifi so I couldn't setup the email and sms, But I love the progress. I can't wait to see the whole thing running.

So is there anyway to pull up the multitasking screen? I've tried the menu button and it just pulls up a settings thing
