[ROM] [Alpha] Ics4Bionic 01-25-2012

If I were both of you, would try this: Uninstall Safestrap, download a new copy for Bionic from Hashcode's site (I have heard of a couple of guys who dl'd the one for D3 by mistake, also termed 1.06, but they are ever so slightly different, at least they have a different MD5), and new copies of alpha 1 and alpha 5. After uninstalling safestrap, use root explorer and go find the safestrap folder and delete the remnant files. The install the fresh safestrap, toggle into safe mode, wipe data, cache, dalvik, format system, install alpha1, reboot into ICS alpha 1, reboot into safe strap, install alpha 5. Reboot into alpha 5. If you boot loop, pull your battery and reboot again. It's a lot of trouble and steps, but that should get you there.

I tried those steps with 4, I'll give it a go with 5 here in a few.

Could the logwrap hijack from bootstrap have any sort of negative effect on safestrap? I wouldn't think so, but I never fully removed bootstrap...

Very well could. I have seen that before even installing Safestrap, you should thoroughly remove Bionic Bootstrap. I just used the uninstall routine in Settings//Manage Applications.

Your sound isn't working????

:D Nope, not yet, but I'm sure it's high on DH's list... :yr1:

Yea I just never noticed it until this build because of the internal card not working I had music on it and the player would play but no sound just wasn't sure.

I'm so excited for a pure AOSP ROM for my Bionic. TY for your hard work and efforts, Peter Alfonso was my old go to guy for AOSP but it looks like you are now it. Keep it up and thank you again!
