Android 2.1 Update Rolls Out For Motorola Droid!

Hmm still waiting. My brother in law got his droid like a month ago and got his update. I got it on day one. I am so sad . I know I can force dl'd it. But I am still sad that he got it first. I'm patient. I'll wait. On sms popup I have voice to text so thats what's keeping me going for now.

I got my update this morning and a few things I noticed about it,

The pinch zoom works great but the +/- keys still appear when I zoom and blocks part of the screen

Mentioned before but, still only 3 screens

No 3-d effects for music player, contacts or anything else I could see

And most important, no flash 10 support.

I'm not a techie but if anyone know how to remove the +/- keys or load flash 10 support I'd appreciate it.

There was nothing that said we'd get Flash with this. That won't happen until the next quarter at least.

Noticed my update this morning about 1:30am as I was going to bed. It was a quick install.

Gallery - I like it - useful today after church over breakfast with some out-of-town friends. I showed them some Ireland vacation shots that are on Picasa.

News & Weather Gadget - Cool to see the headlines. Already have the weather & time widgets I had previously bought, so I don't expect much use from the weather.

Live Wallpapers - Cute gimmick. I would trade it for the 5 screens in a heartbeat.

Pinch to Zoom - Haven't tried yet. I like it in Google Maps tho...

Ok as we have all said time and time again there is NO FLASH in the update and you wont be able to get flash until later this year. Flash will be released by ADOBE and will most likely be in the Market when it is available.

Don't worry I was forgotten about also. But not worried about it. Just a couple of new toys I've lived without since I bought the phone in November.

Just got my update notification. I'm on my second attempt after I got the download bar (gray) without any progress. I took out the battery and trying again. Bought my phone 1st week it came out, my # is from CA, but I live in HI.
