Android 2.1 Update Rolls Out For Motorola Droid!

There are supposed to be ~10,000 update.zip sent out into the wild by now... not 1 confirmed sighting let alone update file. Starting to stink like poopoo

It is worth telling people to go to the dialpad and type:

*#*#checkin#*#*

Apparently this will "ping" your phone on the verizon system and help ID you if you've been selected for the update?

Worth a shot, good luck.

It's legit.. didn't get me an update, but it did report Checkin Sucess.

Yes im sure it will be... or it will be upgradeable to the 2.1 OS.

Try it, you should see that the check in is successful in your notification bar.

Dunno if it really helps (I'd imagine an OTA push update would push the update at the right time) but maybe it will get the update quicker if you are one of the lucky few.

Worth a shot at least.
