Android wear update

Did you get the new app update? When I opened the AW app there was a blue box in the top center explaining the new feature. Tap that and it opens the Permission Settings for AW. Tap Permissions and slide the new SMS to ON.

No update today. Can't recall if I got any over the weekend.
On another subject, I still think that the Huawei Watch is still, by far, the best looking smartwatch out there. Do you believe it's wise to upgrade from my Moto 360 1st generation now?
Cheers
I would wait. New watches are coming with AW 2.0. If nothing else, you might be able to get a nice deal on the older Huawei watch after the newer ones come out.

I updated days ago, the moment it appeared on apk mirror website but I didn't see that blue box when I first opened the app.
Could it be because I have the Moto 360 1st generation? Which one is yours?

Cheers

For those that might miss the new box in the AW App, here is the new SMS slider in Apps > AW > Permissions. Turn SMS to ON and you can send text replies to incoming calls right from your watch.

This was an Android Wear app update on the phone, not a watch update. So everyone should get it eventually regardless of watch model.

Hmm...I have that permission, but it was toggled off. Turned it on and now I can slide up when there's a call, but if I'm being honest, Idk if I could do that before or not. Haha!

If I toggle the SMS permission off, it's still an option when my phone rings. Idk if it actually sent a message though, since I was calling from my office phone. Guess I'll turn it on and leave it on. Seems like a handy feature. Could've used that when I was crunched into the attic at work last week running cable and my uncle was trying to call me. I just let it go to voicemail, but would've been handy to slide up on my wrist since I could reach that easier than digging my phone out of my pocket.

My SMS permission was already ON.

As I said, I did the update manually days ago, the moment someone uploaded it on the apk mirror website.

That's the same version I just installed. If you have someone call you from another cell phone you should see the standard "Cant answer now" SMS options on your watch when you swipe Up.

Yeah. I did notice that. Have you tried having someone call you? I still got the options when I swiped up when I called from the VoIP phone in my office at work.

Hooray! Funny that it out 3 of us, only one got the pop-up. Although, I don't go into the app very often. It's possible I thought it was telling me something I already knew & dismissed it without actually reading it.
