Any talk about a Droid 5 coming out?

if they really want this phone to go global theyd better release unlocked versions. whether they like it or not.. keeping the droid 4 locked to verizon was the biggest mistake for the millions of ppl worldwide that prefer a qwerty but didnt know they could unlock a d4 to use in their country. that and the d4 was released with mediocre specs. they need to make these things frontrunners again and max out the specs and features.
hope it comes with superamoled screen.

my battery's been pretty good. try cleaning up the crap and also removing some apps from startup..
i really like my d4. no complaints at all. it just took a little work to get it setup right. i also use screen brightness controls so that the screen isnt always at max brightness when it doesnt need to be. bluetooth and wifi is pretty much always on.

What's your total on screen time for that? I can last for a day with very minimal use and on 4G all time as long as I have my D4 sleeping. I last about 2 hours with screen on.
Yeah..But the issue is that will carrier praise the device? Or, just act like it step child and not promote them like flagship phones. Look, at motorola what they did with droid 1,droid 2 and (droid 4 was really option commercial when they show droid razr ,droid razr maxx with 3 options device for verizon promo.
For some odd reason the droid 3 was never commercial or even mention on verizon commercials. So if they dont promote then why release it to everyone?
Look at photon q? Sprint never mention them on commercial; only people that follow android news knew about it. Or sprint users. If Motorola does release the droid 5 aka milestone 5, they need put the pressure on carriers to promote the device and not just give it to them.

@jm i like my droid 4 too no lag and rarely and slowdown. Some of these d4 users are lying the only issue with this phone is the random reboot i get sometime.

lol you just said, basically, if an issue doesn't happen on your phone it doesn't exist. that's a fairly ignorant statement, only topped off by you calling them liars...

My bad since owning this device i got one or two slow down in 3 months.
And the random reboot maybe 4 or 5 time a week it the only annoying thing in this. But, i dont like cm roms i know it will eliminate this but i dont like cm roms, their glitchy,buggy roms and tend to be ported from nexus device and isnt optimize for phone that arent their.
Example my nexus s runs better on google built roms then cm 10 on jb.
That because google optimize it correctly to the phone,ram and os built unlike cyanogenmod does and every others rom users.

ive timed about 8hrs from a 90% charge with the screen on all day together with gps wifi and bluetooth. that day i droided all day. screen never got 5 minutes rest i think lol
did all my office tasks on my droid as well and never booted the office pc even. such the advantages of physical qwerty.
ill get the droid 5 for the updated specs. better camera, more memory etc.

i was getting that random reboot. turns out my power button would get suck in sometimes when i hit it to lock the screen. causing the phone to reboot in 3 seconds or so. its ok now tho.. no button problems. i think the nanocoating needed a little breaking in to reduce the friction.
if that's not it then a full factory reset and wipe might do the trick. sometimes iffy apps/software can screw with the o/s.

Since I can no longer buy contract phone, the D5 must be up there in order for me to consider paying retail for it. If it is not up to par, I will skip the QWERTY even though I really can't type with just the screen. I guess I would have to buy a phablet.
Save your money get nexus 7(2013).if you want 7 inch tablet. Get droid maxx or ultra or mini. Get, bluetooth keyboard like most phones out their are bluetooth 4.0 u can use that as alternative to keyboard on full touch screen. I dont get phablet to mean it pretty overrated even though the original note was 5.2 inches. Most device are going touch that next year. Any android phones beyond 4.3 inches isnt smartphone it literaly tablet.
Like dell streak 5 inches back in 2010 was consider tablet. Now everyone want to use term phablet on phone bigger than norm. Small bezel are smartphone even though their to big.

dont know if anyone has pointed this out. but this thread is actually to discuss the droid 5. i wont speak for anyone else, but personally im not interested in anything else. that's why im in this thread. on topic.
