Any talk about a Droid 5 coming out?

it better be. only chumps think virtual keyboards are the way of the future. at the very least they have to make a seperate compartment from the screen for typing. virtual keyboards are for noobs who still use a phone like a miitoo.

qwerty 4 lyfe

I definitely agree! I think the people who like virtual keyboards are the people who send short, little texts with all the abbreviations. Before I heard about this new D5, a few weeks back, I even tried forcing myself to use the virtual keypad on the D3 with Swype and it was driving me nuts. I kept making mistakes and then having to switch from the alpha to the numeric was so annoying - I would always type about one line and then switch back to the physical keypad. Also, while we wait for the D5, as far as the memory problems, my D3 is not rooted and I use an app called Clean Master I got for free from the Play Store. It sends me messages when my memory useage is getting too high. I also went through my entire memory and tried to either move or delete unnecessary programs but there's an awful lot of programs that can't be moved that I like so I'm stuck with frequent system re-starts and then removing the battery when necessary. Well hope this is helpful. By the way, what is a "miitoo"??

No wonder I didn't know what a "miitoo" was, I never would have even looked at it, much less knew what the phone was called, LOL!! I've had only Droids (1 and now 3) since they came out and my son and I were at the Verizon store the 1st day the D1 was on sale to buy it! As I said I REALLY LIKE the physical keyboard and am looking forward to the D5.

Hi Carol, I also am in Florida and I highly dislike an onscreen keyboard, I have had a D1-D2 & D3, I love my keyboard on which I can actually type. Motorola please hear our cry, bring out the D5.

well im an optimist. altho i like to have a plan b and c but im thinking.

first the d5 seems to be being built in china so there's most likely a higher demand for them where all the smart ppl are lolol

second based on what appears to be induction charging bult into the design im gojng to keep positive that the d5 is going to be once more a flagship device with high end technologies and practical applications

finally, hopefully motorola learned from the d4 and they will not keep the fone locked to usa only and allow it to function globally which will increase sales and awareness of the device drastically.

with motorola quality design and durability it could be the best thing since sliced bread.

#please dont let me down motorola.

and one more thing. judging by the time between leak and release of the d4, i think we can expect the d5 to release during the first quarter of 2014.

OK, I just signed on to the Motorola Forum and made a post. I agree with you. Your link is to a thread called "Motorola are you going to release the droid 5 ?". Since most or all of us on this thread want the new Droid 5 to come out we should all go there and let Motorola know how we feel. Thanks for providing the link.

Well I made the post I'm creator of that threat that how ppl got the rumors specs on what d5 wanted. I'm the colombiankid

Motorola read through this forum on link I gave u is their site.
They take note on ppl idea into consideration for next device.

Well, thank you to add119, a.k.a. colombiankid, for creating this thread on Motorola's Forum. One thing though, I just went to the Motorola Forum and tried to find this thread by "searching" for it first using the name of the thread and then when that didn't work just searching under Droid 5. I still couldn't find it without going back through the link from this thread. Could you please add some key words to the thread to make it "searchable"?

so after googling 'droid 5' every day for new leaks i come across this on xda forums.

www.newcellphonesblog.com/motorola-droid-5-leaked-again.html

i wont quote, just go look for urself. the specs if final are horribly disappointing. i may have just lost interest in the droid 5. not even a ram upgrade and that's like the most important thing. no waterproof or dustproof.

gaahhh.. motorola just did it. totally destroyed the droid qwerty line. i currently have no interest. how's that for a backflip.

Yeah. That's not that good.

I've been fighting the urge to go KB-less but it sure does seem like an uphill battle getting Moto to consider the slider as a top-of-the-line spec'd phone.

It's like they're saying "fine we'll make you a slider, but it's not gonna be pretty."

F it.

Guess I'll take a look at the X or something.

im actually boycotting motorola now. theyre working with the nsa if u ask me. moto x listening to everything u say at all times. 3 mics to hear everything around under claims of noise cancellation benefits?

ive decided ill go with china fones from now on. but im getting a couple more d4s as backup/spare parts etc.

ive been marketting motorola all year.. now ive got to take the man's route and tell everyone i was wrong about them. major disappointment in all areas.

they didnt even deliver on their professed 4000mah battery standard. losers.

fastcardtech.com is the place for me. they got some waterproof, dustproof and shatterproof glass products on the market. i see their mobile market blossoming generously in the future.
