Also, turns out that "Wear Camera Remote" has its own camera app, so now I'm reinstalling Google camera, because if I'm going to have an entire extra camera app just for remote shutter, I'll go with the one I'm familiar with.
Hmm. Thought it was Moto Camera. That's what all the reviews say. But yes...on my last phone I downloaded an app to do it. Didn't do that yet, so this was a surprise.
Pic shows up on watch too. Awesome feature.

That's a very reasonable assumption. I would not be surprised if the 2014 Moto X has the same feature as the Turbo. Probably incorporated into both to support their 360 watch.
But it's "low power" because it's 4.0. Low Power meaning "not a battery sucker" and not "shorter range".
I didn't think 'low power' had anything to do with range. I could be wrong. I thought BT is still BT and it should hit the old 30 meter mark (90ish feet), no?
The watches are "class 1", 90' but our phones are "class 3", 30' so there's that. I have an old set of Jabra headphones that are class 1 linked to my Dish Hopper that is class 1. I don't lose the connection when listening to tv until the neighbor next to my neighbors house, about 300' away. If I'm watching football or something and grilling I just pop the set on and don't miss a moment of the game.
Sorry didn't mean to go way off topic but if phones go class 1 in the future the range of these watches will increase dramatically.
Well first night didn't get a whole lot of use as I can't wear a watch on the floor. But it was in my tool box and connected to my phone all night and I played with it on my breaks. Battery life is good for me, and didn't impact my phone much. And I found a couple apps for it on my lunch. Namely a browser and launcher. Ups the cool factor alot that I can surf tiny Web sites lol

I thought about downloading a browser. I think I might have to just to play with it.
As for the mini launcher, I'll pass for now. I don't launch much stuff on the phone at this point. It's more of a handy notification machine that I do voice to texts from. So, it's no big deal for me to launch the few things like coin flipper & calculator & bubble shooter game by voice, or scroll down to "start" on the Google screen for the whole list of apps.
...If I left my phone downstairs in the mancave, in one corner of the house and went up to the kitchen in the other corner of the house, "Find my phone" would ask me if I forgot my phone because it disconnected...
What app are you guys using for the "find my phone feature"? Right now my watch just displays a disconnected symbol. I hardly ever misplace my phone, but would be nice to have the find feature on my watch...just in case.
Thanks. I was looking at that one earlier & has mostly good reviews. Just nice to here that it works from someone actually using it. I might give it a try.
