But it's "low power" because it's 4.0. Low Power meaning "not a battery sucker" and not "shorter range".
I didn't think 'low power' had anything to do with range. I could be wrong. I thought BT is still BT and it should hit the old 30 meter mark (90ish feet), no?
Fyi, in case that info got lost in the thread, you'll have at least one update before you can do anything with it, then I had a second one just a few minutes later.

I like the texting ability. The speech to text seems pretty good. I'll get some use out of the nav function too. I think I'll like it. And can see a real future for wearables. This plus a Bluetooth ear bud and you're hands-free on the phone
It was so great to use the watch & my new Bluetooth ear buds while running the snowblower yesterday. Controlling my playlist, including thumbs up & down & I got a Facebook message from a friend asking to confirm plans for later & was able to lower the throttle on the blower & turn away from it & respond via voice.
Of course, that meant taking the glove off, but it beats taking the glove off AND digging my phone out of my coat/sweatshirt.
They don't activate Google now, but that's a non-issue for me with the watch. Not high end, but they don't break the bank & they easily drowned out the snowblower without losing any clarity.
Got my Turbo. Watch wouldn't pair. I reset it and all is well. Is this something new? Feature of the phone? Haven't seen this before.
Open camera on phone. Watch asks if I want to use it to take pics. And this feature paid off huge today. Extended family function we do annually. We always take a group photo.
Guess who was the hero?
Worked beautifully.
