Anyone notice the screen doesn't get dirty? Or am I nuts?

NO screen protector for me. Screen is so beautiful I just can't believe it. I turn it on sometimes just to look at it (wow I sound like a dork, but I don't care).

Its not my imagination, this screen resists smudging, hands down. I used to take the case off and blow hot air on it like wiping down glasses then wipe it on a tissue (my shirt really, but I don't want you guys to think I'm some kind of animal) to clean it. The GNEX I simply don't wipe very often, if at all.

I don't know what the difference is in the glass they used for this, but there IS a difference. Well done Samsung.

I had to post on this thread cause I have been amazed at the glass on this phone. It gets smudges somewhat while using it, but I swear every time I pull it back out of by pocket the glass is absolutely spotless! I love it. This is the first phone I might not put an invisishield on because I feel like it will be worse with it. On my DX an invisishield was an absolute necessity, not just to protect from scratching, but also for the smudges and stuff on the screen.

Only thing I am worried about is getting a scratch on the screen if I don't put a cover on it. Any ideas how easily the glass will scratch?

According to one account, more easily than some. I don't know. I've never used a screen protector since moving to capacitive screens. On resistive screens it was a necessity, but I just can't stand to ruin the feel of a glass screen. I've personally never had issues with scratches. And with how clean the GN screen stays it'd be a double shame to cover it up.

Yeah I love the feel of the glass screen vs. the screen on the DX. I'll have to be more careful with this phone though. I dropped my DX hard so many times and I have to give it props for how well it stood up to the beating even with no case. That phone really could take a drop without being phased. Probably because of the non-glass screen. I am gonna put a lightweight case on this phone and be extra careful not to drop it. Also gonna fork out the extra $7/month for Verizon insurance to replace it if I drop it and the screen cracks.
