[ROM] | aokp | axi0m [b] | kang | 4.0.3 | 2/24/2012 |

I would pull the battery and sim card, replace battery and power up. You will get notice that no sim card is installed. Power down, reinstall sim and hope it works!

This "reset" has worked for me

No luck. Still unable to get the service working. Not sure it is related, but on reboot, it always wants to go to recovery.

booting to recovery would be normal if you were using bootstrap. You might be in the market for a SIM card if you have tried non safe side with the same results. You are on .902 right? If not, your radio wouldn't work on a ROM built around .902 and cause such an issue

I've searched the thread and couldn't find an answer, is it safe to restore from google when I install? I honestly don't see why this would hurt but... I don't want to have to do everything over again.

Google only restores some user apps(no app data) and basic google data like contacts and is ok to use when you are on the same ROM, same with TiBu if you have it.

that's pretty much what I figured, just didn't want to fubar anything. I absolutely love this rom, going to take some getting used to, and I may even change my mind from getting the D4 in a few days... not sure yet but. this is definitely helping

unless you need a keyboard, you already have one of the best phones with this or any of the other custom ROMS being pumped out;)

I prefer keyboards. honestly I never should have gotten rid of my D2 but... I did.. I just like being able to do what you can with a keyboard, that you can't without. if that makes any damn sense. I can type faster, and do more with a keyboard.

BUT I'm absolutely loving this rom, it's amazing. and has most certainly breathed new life into my bionic. I may be keeping it, I've got two more weeks to decide

love it but

Love this ICS rom. Best rom by far that I have had on the Bionic. The only reason I have to go back to Eclipse 2.1 is because of the lack of video drivers. Netflix and Youtube are a must when I am out and about with my 2.5 yr old daughter and have to keep her entertained. I will be going back post-haste once the streaming vid issues are worked out. I never had a data drop or any other issue with it. Smooth as S@#t!

I also love it....

My biggest problem right now is with this rom my face buttons stay lit up at all times...

How can I turn them off?
I am sure it is nuking my battery.

I have alot of random force closes when interacting with the camera as well. (no I havent tried the FFC).
Th camera also seems limited to 5mp

I have also noticed if you turn on all the options in the power menu...then when you hold power the phone reboots. Turning those options off seems to resolve it.

I have always loved on the theory rom's. Theory 2.3.1 ice blurry on top of 593 made my phone amazing.
Eager to see what works right with 902

I prefer axi0m AOKP's amount of customization settings compared to Gummy. Gummy has a couple tweaks that work well and seems lighter on battery so really it's if you like clean n simple or little more complex functions that you will use IMO. Give it a try and see what you think.

Hopefully your reflash corrects issues you are having.

Yes reflash corrects the issues. Power menu comes up now.
I feel like it either happened because I enabled the "turning on of torch when holding power from lockscreen" option.
Not quite sure, not willing to toy with it as I have all my apps set.

Thanks 2THEXTRM

OKAY to deal with the soft buttons staying lit issue, simply unlock the device, change your brightness settings, then lock the device.
IF the soft buttons stay lit after that, reflash as I deal with this issue everytime I reboot.

Nice, glad the reflash did the trick. I enabled that cool torch function and used it a few times so it works for me. I have heard of some having issues after changing settings in the power menu. It could just be a bad flash coincidence though since mine is working ok.

enjoy your new bionic!

I had no idea streaming video didn't work, somehow i overlooked that. Kinda a deal breaker as i watch Netflix at work all the time. Thank God for safe strap... Hopefully this issue can be fixed, God i wish i knew more about coding.
