Woot! Glad you have the ROM installed!

Did guidot help ya on some of the safestrap issues?

He did. I had it right for the most part. I have to say that this community is great. Having people like yourself right there when you need them,That's what puts android so far above the rest.

This Rom kicks some ass! Thanks again!

You are welcome and you are truly correct about this forum community - they are top notch...but that is why we are here ;)...

And you are correct about the ROM!!

Yes, holla is correct...it will dim and then you can toggle back...

Did that work for you?

it works for a few minutes.. then goes back to R...

just curious.. y is there so many isues with ICS and Data on the Razr.. there was another Rom, not as good as this one.. so many other bugs.. but simlar isues with Data and having to toggle

i really like how ICS runs on the razr and just how it flows.. but i use email on my phone for work and can't have it lose data while in standby

What build are you on of the ROM? I know that DT & Team is trying to improve the data connectivity with each update and it seems for some it is rocksolid and for others, not so much...I understand the need for data so have you tried this...in the phone settings menu - rom control - performance - scaling governor change this to "ondemand" and then click "set at boot" which is right below...

If that doesn't improve your situation - there is the ROM by dhacker which might be an option (if you haven't tried that)....

Good luck and hope you get it worked out!

I need to add, that once you get that changed (above info)...then reboot, toggle GSM and then LTE/CDMA after phone screen blinks or flashes and see if that improves your data connection any...

That really sucks ur phone is tripping. I haven't had this happen to me since ab9.toggling data isn't all that bad I kinda got use to it.u try doing it til data comes up and stays up

When you flashed the ROM, did you do a complete wipe and then setup from scratch the first time? That might be another option (if you haven't already tried that) in addition to holla's suggestion...

just re-rom'd it.. booted into recovery..

wipe / factory reset
wipe cash
wipe dalvic
advanced / format system

installed Rom.. booted into OS.. made the Performance Change.. rebooted.. and trying to toggle data now and getting nothing... update.. got 3G to come in.. opened up the browser.. Google started to load.. switched back to R before the page even finished..

Toggle again, does your screen dim or just flash / blink - let it sit for a bit on the "r" before toggling back to LTE/CDMA...

it flashed / blinked the first time.. but now not doing that anymore.. even after restart and trying to toggle again.. now it just dims.. and have to toggle a few times befoer i get 3g.. and it goes away rather quickly

Man, I am not sure...you might post over in the DroidHive.com thread and see if DT himself on someone over there can provide more insight...

I apologize for the data issue - wish these steps would have resolved it for you...

As for other ROMs, I believe that Nitro has a GB ROM out that has had good reviews...

Hmm...well since none of the option we suggested isnt working just wait til a new ab is released and see if the problem got fixed in the new build

thanks for the help.. appreciate it..

do we know why ICS has issues w/ data on this phone where you would have to toggle?

It is something to do with the port of the ROM...I know that dhacker had put the reasoning out back when he started the ICS port to the devices...like the initial port was for a GSM device vs a true LTE/CDMA device...but don't quote me on that, I am foggy on the recollection as to why...
